What kind of beta attitude is this? Man up and speak about which candidate you like. Cowards like you are what enabled Hitler to take over in Germany.

Focus on being impressive you on Facebook. Publicly reply to her things she posts - rarely and wittily. When you actually have some rapport and friendship going, follow up on a discussion privately, if something seems to demand it (a private joke say, or something not appropriate to share to a general audience).

Excellent advice. Although guys generally tend to perform well if a girl brings a pen and notebook on a date ;)

I had the feeling that I was mentally checking an item off some kind of personal fantasy list, but honestly it made less difference than I thought. The best sex I've had has been with less traditionally attractive girls who laugh a lot and have fun, and/or when I felt super great about myself at that point in time, for whatever reason.

Interesting! How about German and Dutch girls? I've heard they can take longer to win over. What do you think they're into? How did you solve the "I won't be in Switzerland for X weeks" issue?

Thanks for this! Lots of great details. Can I ask if it's possible to generalize about different nationalities and tinder. Or if it's all random and impossible. Eg. Is there a cultural tendency amongst Dutch, English, German, French etc to be faster, slower, more superficial, more into serious relationships, etc etc. Also, have you tried the "passport" feature? Any tips about using that would be great too.

These type of guys also attract women with strange fetishes. You really need to read up more about subs and doms. None of this is "strange", it's a pretty standard sexual orientation question you'll be asked some day. It's quite a separate issue than "alphas" and "betas"

I noticed it do two things (1) it slowed down my self-obsessive thoughts, so i was less interested in things that were me focused... i was more calm and open to things (2) it increased compassion and helped see people more as "equal"... and hence to see interest in everything - people or anything. Trust me! But if it's too hard or uninteresting to you, then find people you look up to.

Clothes and accessories are a way to let people know what tribe you're in. Since I like "arty/intellectual" girls, anything that indicates sporty/goth/preppy/overly revealing/straight etc is a great way to screen out people I won't be interested in long term (shirt term is fine).

Hmm... I never ask for numbers, so fine. It sets up a "you're better than me/ I have to work for you" dichotomy which is the antithesis of attraction. Just ask them to text you a photo, ask how you can meet up next week, or any of the dozen other, better ways to stay in contact.

Australian in Germany here. Loads of things to say, but Germany is full of Americans, Brits, Croats, Australians, Japanese, you name it. And German folks that have spent significant time abroad. So I don't think you can generalize so easily (which is good). Everyone is flakey on Tinder (including me). Why settle for 96% when 99% is a possible flick away? It's a cliche that German girls want a really long testing out period... but that's healthy for you too. And loads of exceptions to that rule (…

Thanks for your advice! Be straight up and honest with your intentions and what you want. Make sure it is structured as you mentioned in your negotiation section. I think a ltr will be more inclined to join you if you have a thought out plan including what city you plan to live in etc. I've done all this, and with my exes. Alas, it has never helped much. But I understand the difficulties that you are experiencing because of the conflict, as in your heart is also telling you to be with said girl.…

Sigh. Yes that's the route I've mainly taken. I now think that's the problem. I have no real problem getting sex, but I realized how I behave just like those chumps who "be nice to get sex" just over this one issue. I've had a string of "saying yes but really secretly thinking no", or last minute resistance. I've tried dating a range of different 'types', ages, and life goal type women, all with no success. I was about to "give up on women", realized how bad (and beta) that sounded. Hence headin…

Impressed by how physical you were straight up (and encouraged girls to be). Anything else you can talk about there would be great to hear (eg. what about girls who are neither completely turned off, nor on, by it). My criticism would be about the photos too - IMHO someone with a nice camera shooting you in a fancy room in good clothes does wonders.
/r/seduction08/08/14 03:32 PM

Sure. Everyone (guys, girls) has their own way of dating, it's true. There are loads of other advantages, though. For instance, begin able to set up a physical date with somebody new each day. (For a while I was having 2-3 a day on weekends.) Not only do you very quickly get a sense of what works, you also care very little about the outcome of each one. I developed a natural nonchalance just from going through it many times, and knowing there were unlimited dates that could happen (right after t…

I just edited my reply. I really think you have to think about photos in a deeper way than just "looks". There's a lot of subliminal stuff going on. I regularly ignore cliched "hot" girls, and am drawn to others for almost intangible reasons. Everything is important, from the type of camera lens that's used, who is taking the photograph, expressions (sexual not sleazy, fun not geeky, confident not vain, etc), your types of clothes, your room in photo backgrounds, what you're doing, what your lif…

Average guys can have winning photos - there are many subtle clues that are more important than pure looks. That's still not it though. Tinder is a multi stage process, and you do eventually meet in person, and do all the same attractiveness stuff you're talking about. With tinder each person has to get through a few hoops: Pass an attractiveness test (photos) Pass an interesting, confident, and safe test (messaging) Pass an interesting, confident, and safe test in person (date) The only thing t…

That's a ridiculously low estimate for online. I've had more hookups in a few months on Tinder than my other eighteen years of dating put together (and I find it easy offline). So much that I'm giving it a pause to have a break, because the challenge is gone, and to get some time to myself. IMHO you're silly to disregard a mass of attractive and interesting women - all actively looking for a guy to hook up with - because of the platform.

I met a disabled African guy in Australia (he was missing most of his fingers), and he was telling me how crazily well he did with the ladies. There's something to be said for being unique (and going with it), too.

Came here to say, sex is definitely better with older women... it's the only reliable predictor of it. Weight, religion, race, class, nationality - everything else doesn't matter. I now definitely prefer being with women 28-40.

Have sex with AT LEAST two other people (not simultaneously, although that might help too). Seriously - it's the only thing that can speed the process up.

Thanks for posting this. I unsuccessfully tried to talk about sex with tinder on the /r/tinder thread... which is full of guys who can't get it to work. I've had a similar situation (I'm in my 30's, most girls 23 - 28). I keep it pretty classy, but I make sure I'm never boring, which I think is most important. The fact that you don't have friends in common is a great part of tinder, it does feel really 'free' like that, for both parties. Thanks for the post.

Force yourself to practice. Watch videos of people you enjoy, and try to look how they look. After a while, you may find that some of your own personality bleeds into your dancing. Never lose that. It's what will ultimately give you charisma from your dancing. This advice works for a lot of things besides dancing. Nice one

I had a four year relationship with someone I had been friends with for five years prior. This seems like the OP is blaming the girl for his not being attractive/desirable enough to attract her. Or not her type. No one is obliged to find a person attractive. Just about any other option (getting another GF, staying friends, building your value) seems a preferable way to handle it.
