I agree that every political movement needs a strong belief system or ideology as simple and gut talking and unfalsifiable as possible to be effective in a political way. Yes, from a tribal point of view there isn't any benefit of being ethical, honest, cautious, scientifically driven and so on. I think the point, here, is more of making a few people more aware of what is a cult, an ideology or a sounded moral framework, more than discovering what really can become power driven politics. Freedom…

Thank you, I have clearer sense of what is totalitarian, now: has to be an a State level top to bottom suppression of freedom. You also right to point out that authoritarianism is a distinct phenomenon by itself and we have to see it as what it is without blending it together with a movement or ideology. This sounds a better approach. I will try to remember it.

Yes, it is a strong word. And surely doesn't consider the real aspect of a totalitarianism and how is genuinely impossible in a working democracy impose an Orwellian totalitarian regime. But... I think there are a tendency of authoritarianism of feminism view in some niches, as in humanities of much of universities, maybe? Tell me if I am wrong, but there is a common aspect I see in alt-right conservatism Cristian movements and left-wing movements that seems unfortunately too often take a form o…

Sure we all love to win. For me personally, there is also a more "charitable" conviction that discuss rationally makes everybody wants to know, knowing a little more.

Barcelona, ciudad estupenda. He comentado en tu discussión.

Yes, exactly! This is a typical sign of a cult: condemning the heretics as traitors. Vague terminology is another typical phenomena of a cult: who dares to define clearly a word that is instrumental to become an empty slogan? I remember the empty slogans of other ideologies: love not war (who wants war among the people?), The hell Exists but it is empty (So what is the real purpose of believing it exists?), the personal is political (yes, if you want to use the personal as a political weapon), o…

Done! I studied your precious links. Very useful indeed. 0) Hum... mumble mumble... you distinguish between real and hypocritical feminism. Interesting. I don't see the two definitions you offer contradicting each other, thou. Feminism advocates for the rights of women using various means included what you call "hypocritical". If you instead are referring of patriarchal societies, maybe we, as leftwing, join their efforts, but their implicit lack of interest for bidirectional equality in western…

I myself noticed to have a tendency to think by big generalization. This is an important lesson: if I don't like to be viewed for big set I belong, shouldn't I avoid to do the same in the first place? ...We can improve!

Wow, I am jumping to read your 2 fantastic resources, they seem very well done! I will answer to your question later.

100% agree! We all change opinion through friendly interactions, discussions and information. We learn so much thanks to others... For example, thanks to this very discussion, I started to notice that my attitude was considering feminists women like a big block of passive innocents victims of the media without their own agency, and I am discovering my generalization reading other comments!

Exactly. We have only two choice: reason, discussion and the common ground of science, or brute force and authoritarian oppression. Doggy dog's world, as you said.

I agree. Is a vague term that neither Wikipedia is able to precisely distinguish from masculinity itself. Everything can be toxic relatively to the speaker, so being gentleman, being silent, being masculine, change sex, being traditional, being individualistic, being promiscuous or being incel.

Mucho corecto.

Yes indeed: it is a political conspiracy started in Academia spread through mainstream media stream. I think "secondary victimization" is when for example a battered man (straight or gay) is trying to reach help calling shelters or police or just talking to his problems online and then he is ignored by the organization because they provide help only to women or the police or the national hotline in USA and all of them are using the infamous Duluth wheel (see this page https://www.thehotline.org/…

I think I understand your point, I am saying the same: rational discussion is useless with believers, as maybe some fanatic "national socialists". But without discussing, remains only a doggy dog's world where power reigns. All the best of our society comes from science (rational confrontation), democracy (alphabetization, education, culture) the improved substantially the life of everyone in the west and not only in the west. How do you know in advance if somebody is adhering to feminism or soc…

I agree. That's why I am talking about women that are fallen in the feminism trap. Consider this: fascism is inherently against human dignity and freedom of individuals, so it can't be fixed. So? How do we avoid fascism? Helping the people to see how bad it is. We can say the same about "trumpism", maybe...

I would add this wonderful article that concludes: "The best data from contemporary social science suggest that the very persistence of the pervasive misogyny narrative is itself a manifestation of the opposite: society is largely biased in favor of women." https://quillette.com/2020/07/27/the-myth-of-pervasive-misogyny/

I noticed another list of sofistical arguments focused more on media reactions here: https://www.reddit.com/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates/comments/1unhxw1/how_feminism_maintains_unfalsifiability_which_is/ it seems to be and expansion of the "anecdotal supremacy" of point 19

This list is GREAT. You know what we should do? Take one point at a time, collecting reliable resource data and training among us to use the most reasonable contra arguments!

I agree 100% with all of the comments about the biases against men that justify ignoring the men's suffering, or just human's suffering as humans. But the result is to solidify the dogma victims = women, so all the society and policy will go for this particular group of people. I am wondering if this is a political design or just biological instinct selected by evolution.
