2	[x-post from r/worldnews] "Jimmy Carter: '[...] the most serious and unaddressed worldwide challenge is the deprivation and abuse of women and girls'". Thoughts? Worldwide? I'd go so far to say I agree that it's a very seriously unadressed (although I would say definitely not the most unadressed) issue worldwide, considering the state of the islamic world + eastern europe and africa. The challenge recognizes the physiological differences between the male and female athletes, and attempts to use a mathematical formula to correct for it, and rewards the athlete that runs the more competitive/impressive time for their sex.
