I think you should def ask her how the surgery went! Then dunno, maybe text her once in a while. Seems she's going through a lot, and being in a relationship and/or constant communication IS a lot and can be very tiring. Be a friend if she needs one but don't expect much? (I'm a woman)

I would advise again't asking "what's up", (but also I can't really explain why). Do you really know she will suddenly articulate and communicate her feelings clearly to you? It would be better to talk about her intentions towards you in real not over texts/voice messages. If she doesn't care about doing that in real, then.. she doesn't care?..

I'm a girl who is also very slow with replying and texting. It sounds that yes, it might drift apart, she's still thinking about it. There probably aren't very strong feelings at this moment, but it doesn't yet mean they won't develop with time. Situation unsure. Doesn't she offer rescheduling when an excuse come up? I imagine best case scenario could be if the guy doesnt text for a while, like 2-4 weeks (makes sense if both have busy schedules, also gives time to think it over). Then invite her…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
