Depends on the girl, younger girls (<25) probably do skew more this way.

Exactly, there are probably just as many guys who don't build enough safety during the first date as don't build enough attraction, to use Todd V's framing of it. In addition to being attractive/confident/etc, make sure to come across as relatableto her, safe, pleasant to be around, etc. Once attraction is built, there is no friend-zone, so all the things most guys want to do to build familiarity with her as a person are actually good to do. The friend-zone exists because guys build safety witho…

This might just be a sample size problem, or it could be that the outer layer of your personality doesn't match the inner, so the initial expectation of what you're like doesn't match what you're actually like (note: not saying your inner layer is bad, just might be a different "type" then what the outer portrays).

Also, if you're over 33 or so, consider using a retinol cream applied every few days (don't apply every day). It will itch at first but eventually you acclimate to it, and it will help prevent/undo minor wrinkles. Collagen supplements also show pretty consistent evidence of smoothing wrinkles as well after a few months of taking them. Above all, especially if you're young and pale-skinned, USE SUNSCREEN. If you're dark-skinned, obviously use lotion.

Yeah, the root is that all of these approaches have zero alternate explanations besides "this person wants sex from me and is insta-propositioning me". Even heavy flirting has plausible deniability. You ideally want to know who the woman is outside of sexuality, but you at least need to appear to want to.

You sound anti-social in the sense that you don't really respect any of these people in your story as people, but rather just their impact on you (what you can get from them, what they can take away from you in the case of the gym owner). Anti-sociality is a major turn-off, maybe one of the biggest, in that it marks you not only as someone with no social proof, but negative social proof and potentially physically dangerous. You can see this in the lack of "putting yourself in their shoes" in the…

I'd say move on but be more cognizant of choosing signals in the future. In my 20s I had situations like yours and I do regret some of the lays I could have had but didn't. Of course, this is not as important if you're just looking for a LTR, but if you're at the variety-seeking stage it can be a facepalm moment.

This is a little extreme but I agree with the main point of picking things up in your life that make good conversation. Do a hobby (I chose archery), take a trip somewhere interesting, hit the gym so you can talk about/teach a little basic lifting or calisthenics, join a club, etc. Essentially, think about what you talk about with male colleagues/acquaintances when making conversation. If the topics are all things that you don't think girls would vibe with, explore whether you'd vibe with some h…

There was a coworker I had who was pretty but wasn't really my type physically. We started hanging out and I steadily became attracted to her over time because of her extroversion, un-guardedness with her personality, and charisma/playfulness. I'd say that guys can be swayed due to personality but it takes a girl with low neuroticism to be that kind of personality (in that way perhaps not too dissimilar from male attractive confidence). She would surprise me by how wild & unreserved she was at t…

Somewhat yes, but your options in response are to either state your preferences honestly or lie (either just to her or also to yourself). The former is mentally healthier, more confidence/frame maintaining, and ethical.

Being into your wife is not oneitis, that's just a healthy marriage. Oneitis is specifically crushing hard on someone who hasn't reciprocated, at least not to the extent of the sufferer. It's laser-focusing on an unreciprocated crush who (at best) has ambiguous feelings towards you.

He's gotta start emergency talking to 2 or 3 other girls to have any hope of regaining a good inner game with girl #1. Even then it's not guaranteed.

I love that people are starting to write more field reports again. I get why it felt bad when you got aired by that girl but you gotta take the win from getting the words out, and at least you got some answer so it saved some face (not that that even really matters after 3 mins to anyone around).

Sounds basic but "I am enough" and "They can't judge the entirety of me" work well for me. I picked up the way RSD Julian does it now. Look up some of his videos (they're not really about pickup on the surface, but they're obviously adapted from his inner game). Try to really feel how unfit they are to make conclusions on you as a person using the techniques in this videos. Also try doing some release work around why these particular two women's judgement affected you so deeply. Carter Weber is …

If you're trying to strike up a convo with them, ask them about something they're into (movie character/video game/workout split/etc) and ask them to explain it to you. Guys love explaining things. If the convo stalls, ask follow-up questions about the niche thing. Once you have good rapport, tell them you think they're cool and offer your number/ask for theirs.

I think the attention angle is just overthinking it unless she engages again. Totally possible it's exactly what it says on the can; she learned your birthday during the conversation and wished you happy birthday in passing because she remembered it or was reminded somehow. If that's true it'll likely be the last you hear of her. If she engages one more time unprompted in the next month or so, then yeah she's probably hungry for the attention.

Someone's been watching Qoves, their content really opened my eyes to this. It's possible to be immensely attractive with verbal game alone, but the gym & skincare posts you sometimes see here show that body game is pretty underrated for attraction. A great (like 2 to 3-year) physique can take someone with mediocre results from verbal game and elevate them to someone with intermediate or advanced-level results.

Before I devote 40 mins of my life to this, is this apolitical or from a socialist perspective? I don't mean any offense but I've just been burned too many times by something that felt like it was verging on insight for 20 mins before turning into some breadtuber spiel once they've got you. And looking at the channel basically every video is about a rich person which raises an eyebrow.

Aren't his main ideas just "invest in assets rather than liabilities" and "maybe figure out how to make more money instead of writing something off as unaffordable for you"? Those are absolutely correct for building wealth/escaping the rat race, but I don't really understand how he wrote a whole book about it.

I had a random woman mutter "oppressor" and spit on me when I was walking by back during the first Trump term (not on a college or anything, I wasn't wearing anything political, I'm not even a conservative). It's in distribution to have out of distribution events happen rarely. They shouldn't affect your perception of the world.

You're not hanging out with the friendzoning girls in hopes of turning them, you're hanging out with them to be introduced by them to other girls, or at least have visible social proof that you're safe around women.
/r/seduction06/07/25 05:51 AM

Hmm, I think what you're telling them is a little too "universal". Anyone could "look like trouble", so the line makes them bounce instead of building rapport.

You should move on, I think most girls who turn a guy down would have the good sense not to try to "friend him up" like that afterwards. Very red flag Edit: Also, don't pay that douche in the first comment any mind. Guy sounds like someone who hates their own gender, going off what they keep commenting in different threads.

Nah, men are much more emotionally simple or straightforward, that's why it comes as a "shock". Guys (in general!) are rarely confused at how they feel about a relationship, romantic or platonic, but this is common for women.

Honestly it should be a better known routine to: A) Hit the gym & diet down to sub-20% body fat. B) Befriend the women at your job & (if applicable) ones on the periphery of your male friend group to the point where they're introducing you to other girls. C) Choose a hobby that features meeting up with a new social circle. Run club, quiz nights, etc. I chose archery. Give this six months and you'll likely have a few prospects with zero cold approach required. More importantly though, you'll have…

This is gold, but do you have any advice for improving general conversational ability? I'm able to talk to people no problem in my day to day life but the sticking point for me is getting over 2 minutes into a convo. Most of my favorite topics are really niche so I'm not sure what media or hobbies to pick up that most normies would know about (I work out but you can't exactly talk about the gym for an hour).

I will also second the supplement part. Taking ashwaganda & L-theanine daily makes a noticeable difference to my daily life, probably bumps neuroticism down like 5-10 points. And don't underestimate how much of a difference not getting enough sleep makes to the level of nerves in your day to day (as well as your wit).

This sounds like something building muscle or taking a martial art would help with. I'm not sure if/how many fights you've been in in the past but actually getting choked or punched might help you in a desensitization way.

Gym is high varience, a lot of people reeeallly don't like being approached there particularly if they're in a rush or going hard, but besides that it's obviously great for finding high quality. Just keep in mind you've gotta go there again in the future if you're a member. Malls in general are pretty good, you can find women shopping around though many will be in sets.

Honestly who you are as a person probably matters so much as to what will work for that most guru methods won't work for you like it does for them. Ex: If you're a laid-back guy with a deep baritone & large frame, jumping around like Julian will probably look really weird or try-hard, whereas if you're naturally high-energy Mystery might be too slow for you. The best is to think critically about both your inner self & how people tend to perceive you based on what you look like, and calibrate fro…

It's a fine hypothesis, but there's no evidence behind it. Is it really that much harder to game in Greece than, say, Russia? Unless you've been to both places, you wouldn't know, and even then it's no substitute for a poll or experiment (even a poor one). It's interesting conjecture though, social trust makes a lot of difference but I find it hard to believe that the US, with its middling (& declining) social trust is worse for game than Norway.

Can't accomplish anything in life without stepping out of your comfort zone. That's not even masculine; a girl also has to step out of her comfort zone to trust a guy at the club ain't gonna physically harm her or be some psycho, not to mention how far out of everyday experience giving birth probably is. Willingly leaving comfort is a human universal. The good thing is that all of us can change our personality over time even if everyone has a different starting point.

Hmm, I think if it were as easy as genuinely being interested in the women you wouldn't have the meme of the friendzone or nice guy™. Both kinds of person at least start out genuinely liking women, they just have absolute game-killers like neediness or expressing pure security without attractiveness/edge. Essentially, what you're saying is necessary but not sufficient.

Unlike most things we encounter nowadays in modern life, this can't be quantized and rejects hard categories. I suspect people before the 20th century might have been better at this than us on avg just because much more of life had to be learned based on vibes & experience gain rather than "book-learned". Charisma is far more like being a good storyteller or comic than it is like being a top athlete or operations manager. There's a lot of "you know it when you see it".

Bro have you seen your typical incel? Many are incapable of even having good self-esteem, much less non self-destructive beliefs around attractiveness, without months of professional help. I once knew this guy who worked out, not short, was gonna join the navy, but even I as a guy could tell he was incel because his body language and tone went to shit every time girls were even discussed. I've heard 15-18 BMI myself. Just keep in mind that, depending on your ethnicity/ancestry, your natural fit BMI will differ slightly. An East Asian guy at 18 BMI might still look slightly chubby, whereas a pacific islander at 15 BMI might actually look a little malnourished due to skeletal weight differences.

I've seen this happen with guys who were fat but get thin where they just turn into the biggest asshole. Also seen the opposite where they become the most chill, down-to-earth person. Surprisingly, the former only got thin and into cars, the later got jacked as well as lean.

Another reason is the always-10 has always had the reality distortion field beauty brings, meaning they often never had the chance to get the unbiased social feedback necessary to develop a legit personality, leading them to be pretty flat once you strip away the beauty.

That being said, a certain minority of older women have a young man fetish and go for the neotenic-looking youthful face and twinkish body (from personal experience). Definitely only a ~10% kind of niche-max trait though.

It is to some extent a numbers game, but numbers don't mean anything if someone is just autistically plowing ahead without reading body language/signals or genuinely forming a connection to the woman, both man to woman and more basically as person to person. This is why routines don't work beyond a certain very short amount of time and why calibration exists as a term.

Completely agree, this will help captivate anyone you tell stories to, and it's something that logical/analytical types tend to have as a blind spot (ignoring the subjective sensory experience from memory in favor of the objective facts of a story).

Another thing is that when you tell stories, make sure to talk about how you felt or the sensory experiences you had during the story rather than just relating a sequence of actions or words. Make them feel the events of the story secondhand. "I went fishing for the first time and caught a 30 pound fish" vs "I went fishing, it was my first time out so I felt really out of my depth next to the pros I went with, but I ended up catching a 30 pound fish! ChatGPT avoids the entire topic of pickup like the plague and hands out bland bluepill advice. It wouldn't generate majority of the post in the first place.
/r/seduction22/05/25 08:15 AM

Look up hoe_math's zones video on YouTube (the v3 or swordpill videos for the most in-depth explanation). It's very intuitive how he explains it and the video is short enough that you can listen to it while washing dishes or something.
/r/seduction21/05/25 10:14 PM

This is a common response or concern from guys at that stage. The bad reputation of pickup after Mystery became nationally known isn't exactly a secret.
/r/seduction21/05/25 10:11 PM
1

I've heard it said that if you're approaching, don't be surprised if the first two minutes are 80/20 or even 90/10 you & her, and after that another two minutes of 60/40 before it finally settles to 50/50. In that sense, you may want to practice consistently having two minutes worth of engaging conversation with strangers, man or woman.
/r/seduction21/05/25 10:08 PM
1

Maybe, but cold approach doesn't rely on the person you're attracted to having a connection with one of your connections, and it works for people who are otherwise introverted. Rely only on social circle and you might find yourself more demographically or age-limited. Do both though of course, social circle is useful for way more than just lays.

Exactly, most people date around their age, but women are much more likely than men to want someone older or to at least be unbothered by being younger than their partner/fling.
/r/seduction21/05/25 05:27 PM
13

Honestly I found hoe_math's Zones chart on YouTube to be the most intuitive/enlightening in thus respect. His hypothesis is essentially that men & women both fail to model each other's theory of mind when it comes to attraction, because men only have one unified attraction/attachment level and for women they're two separate axis. What this means is that men can be moderately attracted to a girl but have negative attachment to them (essentially, you'd never want your bros to know you hit it becau…

Tbf, a lot of "AI detectors" are laughably inaccurate. That being said, if you just use chatgpt or Claude you get a feel for what their answers sound like (and how much they "dislike" talking about pickup), and from that perspective I doubt much content is AI gen here.

It's extremely rare because most girls aren't sociopathic. But some percentage of the population is, and may just do this for the ego boost or attention. Of course, some may also have some deep-seated trauma reason for overreacting to an approach (say, being abused as a child).
/r/seduction20/05/25 10:01 PM
1

I agree that they prefer it to feel organic, but to be blunt that romance movie scene where you reach for the same book in the bookstore is just never going to happen for most people. Best one can hope for is norms beginning to loosen up on approaching given how lonely most ppl are this decade and how many younger women want to be approached more (probably by ppl they already find attractive, but them's the breaks).
/r/seduction20/05/25 12:55 AM
4

If you're meeting multiple racist people in a row, there's something wrong with the cohort you're choosing from given that the vast majority of ppl don't believe in superior & inferior ethnicities.
/r/seduction19/05/25 07:35 PM
1

To be blunt, given the demographic mismatch you might have to calibrate more towards safety/security up front. You'll probably have an easier time with building attraction, but you need to more heavily signal safety towards her specifically (not so much others around you - make her feel special etc).
/r/seduction19/05/25 12:29 AM
1

Nah, attractiveness vs age curve is way different for men than for women. With women it's a linear curve down from early 20s, with men it's more of a hill that peaks around early to mid 30s but slopes down fairly gradually. Attitude & fitness matter more. A fit 40 yr old would do better than an overweight 25 yr old a priori, but even then attitude difference could re-flip this back. Compare with women where a thicc 25 yr old might be more attractive then a thin 40 yr old.
/r/seduction19/05/25 12:24 AM

It's more that a guy can be a platonic friend with a girl, but in majority of cases would become more than that if asked. Depends though, a 9 or 10 guy can have a lot of platonic female friends that won't meet his standards, but male standards are generally lower/less selective & more quantity-focused (look at nature, this is true all the way down to pollen & flowers). Best way to visualize is that men have one axis of combined attachment/attraction instead of the two separate ones women have.

A girl who was romantically interested in me touched my arm while laughing at a joke I made, but what made me realize she was interested was that she hesitated (I was gesticulating with that arm) and then went for it when my arm stopped moving in a way I recognized from when I'm trying to get a indicator of interest in. Are they not practicing cold approach/pickup? I'm defining pua as the action & practice of systemized approach rather than any particular clique of people. On point #4, even if impact now is minimal, your 35-45 yr old self will thank you in the future for getting those would-be wrinkles squared away. Also, your fashion doesn't need to become an all-consuming pursuit; an hour or two of watching basic shit on youtube does the trick. Show her you're competent enough to know what colors & shapes are. Fashion is also somewhat vibe over precision, so it's mindset practice if you're a super-logical type.

Youtubers like Coach Kyle, Leo Gura, Benjamin Seja, and even Denmo seem to teach less smoke & mirror routines & more self-improvement than old school pua, regardless of what one thinks about how successful at game they actually are.

Yeah I interpreted it as "don't get bent out of shape from dry convos guys, sometimes we're just shy."

Bro just get your own place, then you can have as many chicks as you want on different nights.

Smile or a nod is great but winking seems to have weird cultural baggage with Gen Y & Z that it doesn't with Gen X & boomers.

Yeah as an account of the pickup subculture that existed during that era it's fantastic. As an actual manual it started/popularized a lot of the negative associations pickup is still saddled with today.

What is everyone else doing during this time? If people perceive you're taking easy/chill parts of the project for yourself while leaving others with the grinding parts that might make them irate in the way you mention. Though even in that case they should just be upfront with them seeing it that way.

A category literally being called "unexplainable" should already be a massive red flag for anyone who took a single STEM course.

Core strength is so important because of this, have to be able to not need those arms to hold yourself up so you can use them for other things while pounding.

If you have warm skin (look at your wrist veins, they ought to look more greenish than blue), aim for earth tones like olive, mustard, burgundy, navy, etc. Gold jewelry will look better than silver on you, but tbh it's not nearly as important for accessories or small accent colors. Otoh, if you have blue veins, you have cool skin so go for "jewel tones" like emerald, canary yellow, scarlet, sky blue, etc. Silver jewelry will also look better than gold on you. There are also warm & cool neutrals …

I'd add to the other posts here to try and approach her while she's not actively talking with her friends or has social pressure from them. Even if she likes you, she's young and her ASD is just as likely as your game to be miscalibrated, so if she's feeling friend pressure she might say something she doesn't actually mean. Of course in that case, might want to try striking up a convo twice on different days.

Agreed, clothes are first because all you need is an hour of watching YouTube on basic fashion and color matching and a few hundred bucks. If you have bags under your eyes, buy something to minimize them and some basic face wash & cream. Figure out a good hairstyle for yourself including beard. Obviously, make sure your breath is fresh and your teeth are at least fairly white. Many puas swear by crest whitening strips.

Exactly. Where a lot of guys stumble is not bothering to learn basic fashion and hairstyle. So many guys who would look significantly less mid if they didn't sweep their hair back with a bigass forehead or wear pastels with a warm skin tone. Remember, girls have better eyesight on avg than guys, particularly for color. It doesn't play a role in attraction but it does contribute to your general "is this guy put-together/competent at life" vibe.

I might be in the minority here, but I would still send a short happy birthday message while otherwise continuing what you've already been doing. Also second the other advice on here to stop obsessing, she has made her decision. Accept the current outcome and play the next hand.

Also probably rewires your attraction to unrealistic proportions & acts depending on the type consumed.

It's just something you gotta learn to deal with. The best example of how inevitable this is is seeing what happens to libido when FtM trans people start taking testosterone. I've seen some pretty perverse, horndog shit in those situations where someone who was female now experiences male horniness with zero experience controlling it. Like, I'm talking the kind of situation where you're legit worried they're going to end up having one of those mortifying ER visits that ends up in the weird news …

"To unlock this belief, learn how to tap into your sexual state and start projecting this state to women. Once you start consistently seeing positive reviews on women's faces this belief will slowly be reinforced into your value system." Could you go into what you mean by projecting your sexual state onto women? Like, is it that however you feel you assume the woman you're speaking with also feels? I think this might be a limiting belief for me.
