8	Oxford university introduces a "takeaway" exam to help women get more first-class degrees. Because any time that men outperform women it is a problem which must be fixed. The way you described it, and I've never heard of it so that's my only impression of it, that sounds reasonable. If a question is more suited to any one group, then it's not fair to test multiple groups with that same question and compare scores. I'd say the same if it's easier for a certain race or age group.
