Omg this describes my ex soooo much. Like 100% accuracy. It’s unfortunate there’s more than one of them. shudder

Omg it’s my ex! /s In all seriousness tho, if you just got rid of most of the garbage, made the hair and beard much longer, added several giant flat screens it’d be so damn close

You guys should read through her comments. There’s something about her that just disturbs me. She claims she almost died giving birth and was terrified that she’d never see “hisface again” talking about her husband. She’s in total denial about everything. Her husband didn’t even come home to drive her to the hospital when she was in labor, she had to ask her neighbor to take her. She deleted this post when people told her they suspect he’s cheating on her and has a post still up on AITA. She als…

I agree. I really wish the mods would focus more on the original mission of this sub and screen posts that aren’t actually relevant. I didn’t want to see this either. It’s not relevant to what I came here for.

I just saw this post!! The top comment is fabulous. This predatory behavior absolutely needs to be reported and his parents are ignoring it. I hope this woman follows through and reports it and it seems likely that she will. That family needs professional intervention. His mother completely enables that kid and both parents are in complete denial. I fear for the safety of his 10 year old sister when his aunt finally gets out of there.

I know they’re real. Its just that post is just so idiotic and extreme it reminds me of a modest proposal except stupid (?) Felt like satire. Looks like satire. It’s like someone reading the Onion and trying to share it as a real article. Just too freaky

This feels fake. Or the OP is extremely naive. But since OP is supposedly only 23 years old and this relationship between her father and her best friend started in high school, just numb to the reality of the situation. Her best friend’s brain hadnt even finished growing and her father swooped in and definitely took advantage of that young woman. They got married 7 months after her 18 birthday. WTF. They have 3 kids. This doesn’t feel real. Or maybe it’s just so nightmarish I don’t want it to be…

Too many people think they are just entitled to a relationship without considering what they actually have to offer another person. Be the person you want to date. It’s not that complicated.

Under normal circumstances, yeah, I’d be flipping too. But it was pretty responsible of the two of them to bunk together with Covid 19. She definitely would’ve given it to her family and just spread the disease. By staying together they probably saved some lives. This is what decent people do in this kind of crisis. Believe me, if this was the seasonal flu or something I’d be right there with you. But it isn’t that, this is different. This is basically a modern plague. This guy did the right thi…

I’m disturbed by a lot of the comments. This guy accidentally gave her COVID and then took care of her when she got sick. He did what any decent person would do. Good people don’t do good things for a reward. She doesn’t owe him anything. The fact that she felt like she needed to ask how to thank him and people jumped like she needs pay him back somehow is sad. The truth is she shouldn’t need to do anything. Relationships shouldn’t work that way. The fact that so many people think they do is dis…

My ex had thick curly hair that was longer than my own hair. I found out 5(?) months in that he did not own a hairbrush. I took him shopping for so many normal self care and household items that I discovered he didn’t have over the time we were together. It was ridiculous. I am never doing that again. Next time I’ll take those realizations for what they were: red flags 🚩

This. Wow. This never occurred to me. But it actually helps put the pieces together a bit more. Wow.

So my ex dropped out of college years before I met him but he was still like this at 28 years old (I had graduated college 2 years before we met). Looking back, it’s obvious to me now that he never really loved me or wanted a future with me but was ultimately just dating me to gain experience. Specifically sexual experience and healthy relationship experience since he never really had either. I wasn’t super experienced myself, so ultimately he didn’t get that much out of it and got annoyed about…

I was thirteen when creepy old men (gray hair) I had never spoken to before suddenly were so interested in what I had to say at my parents’ church. It made me really uncomfortable really quickly. I stopped wearing dresses and started wearing pantsuits because I thought it would make them leave me alone. It didn’t work. Instead I got made fun of by my peers and accused of being a “lesbian” because I wore pantsuits. Eventually I just became outright dismissive and rude to the old men creeping me o…

One of those youtubers who reads Reddit stories had a video the other day that just made me sick to my stomach. That kind of shit along with my personal experience is why I’m so disillusioned with men. It’s really hard from me to trust a guy. Men are so ignorant and society lets them become that way. I just can’t stand dealing with it.

Yeah, it’s difficult to accept but that was in fact what it was. Love bombed. It just has me pretty freaked out though. Because boy I made him wait long for any level of physical affection. I was traumatized from experiences with my male peers from a young age. I’m very untrusting of men in general because of it. But this guy took the 4-8 months to build my trust and make me feel safe with him, was so patient and understanding. It felt like he was really listening to me. Like there were all this…

My ex once told me something along the lines of “I can’t change who I am.” And that honestly felt weird to me, but I choose foolishly to ignore it at the time instead of recognizing the red flag that it was. Who he was was someone who could not deal with conflict on basically any level. We never fought, and I realized later that it wasn’t because we agreed or had a respectful discussion, it was because he just didn’t want to say how he really felt. So instead he bottled it all up until he went i…

Because you thought he cared about you, you thought you cared about him. Even though you both agreed to end it, you know it wasn’t going to happen and he wasn’t right for you. But you still felt something was there. Then you wasted time and energy this week waiting to hear from him. Him going back and forth about reaching out. It had you on edge. He gave you nothing but your thoughts. You could only guess what was coming and it messed with you to wait. Then after all that you find out it really …
