Thanks for drawing my attention to this. I am catching up with others who have been on the MRA scene much longer than me, and it is very informative.

Too many men accept this violation of their right to bodily integrity without complaint. This makes it difficult for those who are angry about it to make their voice heard.

The religious freedom of parents takes priority over those of their offspring. How many religious parents invite their children to pursue another religion to the one they themselves preach?

Thanks for the message. I just spotted it as I am not a that familiar with reddit and was not previously aware of the message facility. Doh! Will now use it more to contact like minded folk. May the foreskin be with you. (Make that fauxskin if you are also an amputee like me).

I salute you. I shall be travelling to Washington DC from the UK in March to stand shoulder to shoulder with others protesting against this wicked practice for the 20th GIAW. Hope to see you there.

I am UK based and am a recent convert to MRA. Currently am very much involved in the campaign to end unnecessary/forced male circumcision. The Female Genital Mutilation Act 2003 protects women, but men are fair game for their religious fanatic parents and/or over zealous medics who would happily slice off their foreskins.

Daft question time. I presume this petition is open to US residents only?

I can't take anything Brendan O'Neill writes seriously since he recently stated in an article about the forced circumcision of non-consenting male minors for religious reasons: "What is being attacked here is the fundamental right of parents and communities to pass on their beliefs to their offspring." Many circumcised men born to Jewish or Muslim parents would beg to differ.

Sounds good to me. I am based in Cambridge and am happy to travel.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
