It would also feed into her ego and make her feel like a "martyr."

Yeah, if that was your thought process, you're an emotionally stunted manchild (or a simple troll.)

I keep it straight by thinking it like Batman compared to Man-Bat; the latter part of the word or name is the "final product," so to speak. Yeah, it's silly sounding, but it works for me.

If she had been on-time, wearing the same attire, and skilled enough for the job, I could see her point. I really don't see how having a run in her tights or her attire being an issue, but tardiness to a job interview is a pretty huge deal.

We must keep ourselves in check. Mods, don't be afraid to use the banhammer. Downvote the assholes. Don't prove the "feminists" right about us. If you want to bring hate into this, go subscribe to TRP and leave your hateful crap out of this sub.

On the first date with my fiance, she offered to split the bill. I was impressed with her offering, which made me feel better about paying for it anyways; it was the thought that counted. She got the second date though. The gesture left a great impression on me.

On a slightly different tangent, someone can be drunk, not remember sex, and claim rape, yet someone can get drunk, not remember driving, but be held accountable for it? I'm trying to find the logic here...

My ex-gf said some shit like "That's why your ex-wife fucked around on you" after badgering me endlessly, screaming, throwing shit, etc. I simply got quiet, stared her down, and she knew she crossed a line. I quietly started gathering my things and packing up, because I was done there.

I think the whole "teaching kids not to rape" thing is an attempt to fix a larger root cause. If you raise a child to be a decent human being, all of this is pretty much covered. If a kid makes it to the age where they're capable of sexual activity and doesn't know not to rape people, then you have failed as a parent.

While I agree with this for the most part, this particular incident could've been much worse than the dude intended it to be. There's a point where "enough is enough" and he crossed it. A leg sweep onto concrete could've been really bad.

As long as we stick to facts and stay cool and calm, "Feminism" (or at least what they call it now) will implode under it's sheer stupidity. Are there any old-school egalitarian Feminists calling these people out on their b.s.?
/r/MensRights14/09/14 08:27 PM

Exactly. I deserved it when I was a few minutes later home from work than usual. I deserved it when I acknowledged the existence of other females in a completely innocent way. /s

You're a saint! Well put together response. She seems like the type of feminist that would make this modern-day misinterpretation of feminism rage due to her sense of equality and fairness.

Just because it may not affect you doesn't mean that all 14-15 y/o boys would have the same reaction. Regardless, the law is there to protect the children. If the adult in either scenario in question is 17 or 18 y/o, I can see there being some leniancy due to the small age difference, but other than that, yes, there should be equal punishment regardless of gender.

If I had to make a fair comparison between /thredpill and /MensRights, it'd be like Professor X and Magneto, they both have similar goals, but go about things in drastically different ways. There seems to be lots of anger and resentment in /theredpill from what I've seen. Here, things are approached with emphasis on fairness and understanding.

When I see abuses of power by bankers, corporations, government, police, and government agencies becoming the norm, the whole slippery slope fallacy becomes less of a fallacy and more of a potential consequence of yet another governmental body remaining unchecked.
/r/MensRights28/05/14 03:32 AM
9

I'm all for regulation based on mental health, but the potential for abuse is what scares me. Without fixing the "who watches the watchers" situation first, it'll likely turn out to be a disaster.
/r/MensRights28/05/14 12:38 AM

But who decides who is insane/mentally unstable? Giving government the right to take away rights based on their own definitions unchecked is dangerous.
