Some of us don’t look good in glasses no matter how hard we try.

Shit like this is why I can’t justify being on online dating.

It could work. I’d just be nervous as hell.

Not approaching women on public transit while they’re trying to get from point a to b without any incident, that’s for sure.

Bullshit this works.

I like how you worded that though- “quasi-extrovert type of asperger’s” That actually makes a lot of sense. Whereas I’m not always trying to be out and a social, with enough “social lubricant” I do in fact enjoy it a lot. I just tend not to pick up what I’m doing ungracefully often so it’s hard to know what mistakes I’m making if there’s no one there willing to point them out att.

Most of those experiences were due to simply being in the right place at the right time. Weed and booze played a huge factor in getting rid of some inhibition at the time so if you’re not into either of those I don’t know if my way to being even mildly successful would apply to you. I’m a lot like you- aloof, untrusting, cold. But only in passing. If you were to stop have a conversation for 5 min etc, that slips away pretty easily because over the years I learned that being even somewhat positiv…

The only work i can seem to hold down is retail so i wouldn’t go and assume you’re in much of a better situation than I am. 5’6, 190lb. Overshares like hell. Man it’s frustrating just trying to think you’re good to even approach decent looking women. I mean I can say hi, engage in some small talk, but when it comes to actually flirting or showing interest I get so concerned with being too forward (combine being autistic: saying inappropriate things unintentionally, and trying to respect women’s …

Of course there’s nuance and exceptions to this kind of thinking. Thankfully im in an environment now compared to 3 years ago where I actually believe I can approach women without being automatically rejected. That said I’m curious as to why you might think I’ve “lost most of my chance by now”?, Even though I’m 36 I’m often mistaken for my late 20s. I mean it’s not impossible, it’s just hard as hell to get past my old mindset when I’m in that moment around women im attracted to because it’s been…

I’m on the spectrum dude. It’s not severe but I’ll often miss obvious signs or cues so it’s makes things like context cues really hard to pick up. But ok this makes more sense. Thanks.

Dude. This is my first time on r/seduction and I’m not really big into this PUA stuff. Can you use like normal words instead of “sets” “social conditioning” “cope” because I have no idea what you’re saying.

I always put it like this- knowing my flaws and my lack of self esteem and ignoring it doesn’t work like a light switch (like you’re implying), and even if it did, my switch has been broken longer than I can remember.

You gotta stop using phrases like core values or core confidence with people who don’t know what you’re talking about. Look I can talk to women who are attractive but when we’re talking about knockouts or like 9/10 or higher, I can’t ignore that there’s much better competition than me. That realization isn’t easy to shake at all. I have some superficial physical flaws, and I know it. Confidence needs to come from something you can be truly confident in. If you’re always struggling to find anythi…

Yeah. People make it sound so freaking simple but the truth is if you’re even remotely autistic like a lot of us out there, it’s like trying to read Greek underwater hanging upside down. Especially when it comes to escalating interest and respecting boundaries. I mean it’s not that impossible but it’s much more difficult than a lot of people give us credit for.

Try doing that when you’re autistic. More often than not you just can’t help being that awkward person or not having a clue what to do in that situation.

This- fucking this. Trying to attract women when you’re on the spectrum is a goddamn nightmare. And I can mask it pretty well as it is.

Quick answer? I don’t know. More in depth answer-I don’t know how to to.

Because most of us know our sexual market value is shit.

What if you know you’re either a- not funny, or b- have no reason to be confident other than superficial bullshit?

This. I could easily snag someone who I don’t think is attractive at least in some way, but at the same time it’s like- Why? How do you even climax with them?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
