My problem is my head gets between two thoughts after i initially introduce or say something to get her attention. I discovered I demonstrate best results when I don't focus on what to say next, i.e overthinking the whole process. ex: "hi, how are you..what is your name?" ....her"blah blah"....me "so what brings you here?" her "oh just here with friends" Classics. I agree this may sound boring.. imagine she's been approached a few times and everybody asked these same things. Just as an example, …

I normally try to piggyback on the context of the situation, and start from things surrounding you.. as you probably don't want to come up with irrelevant topics. I find myself in such situations every once in a while. If I see that convo is not picking up, I would just say 'ok, talk later' and go somewhere, so I can make another round (and this time we know each other already) and try from different angle. Granted, if this is someone you are talking on the street, then ask for digits and close …

I got out of a 4 and a half year relationship about 3 months ago It hurts, and it is natural. You are human being after all. Good news, it will fade away. I still long for that relationship where I could sit on a couch next to the fireplace .... Nothing wrong with that, we get used to things quickly, and breaking out of your comfort zone is hard. It is great you joined TRP, looking around, and have desire to move on. I will say though, no matter what you do, how much weight you lift, how many bo…

Seconded. She is too young, too mercurial, and doing whatever she wants, which is exploring depth of her sexuality, in part. As a side note, what was her upbringing? If she grew up in a strict family, then it sounds like she got off the chains..

it's an old know thing, so to speak. Like, all of a sudden you notice that you friends started pairing up and getting married, just an example. You will have to extend your social circle...

Appreciate sharing your story. Good to be aware of that. Sometimes looks are deceiving :) Hey, not all women are terrible. Scam artists could be anywhere

I wouldn't bother about past dates. You keep things in check right now, and you are getting what YOU want. That is cool, man. Keep it up.

It makes sense, I agree. But I would still tread a fine line, and see the reaction. If you throw around some unconventional topics or things, and she seems to dig it, by no means, go for it.

It makes you the one that got away. I feel like my only options at this moment are a) Move out of town Why on earth would you do this? If it is a town of population 100 people, I could understand it (maybe). Act like a man and bear the responsibility. If you want to keep fucking her, go for it. If not, move on.

What would be boring things you talk about? If this is a first date, and you guys don't really know each other, I'd go easy with basic questions aimed to get to know your date. Be a good listener, heed the feedback your date is giving you ex(im)plicitly, and go from there.

I have no plans on ditching her in the near future and the thought >crossed my mind that she actually might be LTR material as she is sweet, >independent and very appealing in the looks department. Not right now >anyway... So what are you looking for?

Learn to say 'No' if you don't see fit attending parties. For instance, if an event assumes (heavy) alcohol consumption you will be out-of-sync with the rest of a group. Other than that, just enjoy whatever you are doing. Don't let 'party norms' take over you.

+1 for physical activities. That helps me too. In addition to the gym I do breakdancing and get a bang out of it - clears up my mind.

I concur with all of the comments, and wanted to say a few things to sum it up. At the end of the day it will all come down to whatever you feel comfortable doing. I encourage you to put yourself out there and experiment. Live feedback is really necessary to see what works and what doesn't. However, if you employ some behavioral patterns/topics/jokes/etc.. that are at odds with who you are: People will notice that You will come off weird You will feel bad as it's no fun But you never know before…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
