Would you ask that of a woman to get her to validate herself? -- That question feels like part of the old game, but could simply be curiosity.

Yes, that sucks.

I second that. This is a more optimistic view that encourages building something, instead of tearing down a woman to sub-mediocre levels.

I agree with following the Bill Clinton-method. (At least as far as the personal charisma goes.) Smile as often as possible. Show a love of what you're doing. Criticize opposition very little, and DUMB THINGS DOWN.

It reads like she was very into you at first. The comment that really made her re-think, was "I'll dress casual enough for the both of us." I don't know if the PUA community espouses this, but it's going to put a girl on guard. That's why she called in for backup.

I'm glad for this post. I was immediately thinking the same thing. When fat women accuse a man of being "shallow", yet they reject anyone who isn't an athletic frame, they are guilty of a similar insatiable misandry. I think both genders are near-sighted at times.

Did you say something about being reactive and having an attitude of abundance? Shut up, Don Juan. Go play WoW.

"Where can I learn this power?" "Not...from a Jedi."

Winter is a lot easier. You can dress "up" more, especially where I live, in Florida. So you make a better impression. Also, women are looking for someone to celebrate the New Year with, and they're also thinking of Valentine's Day.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
