A decent stop gap measure is getting a good smirk going. Bruce Willis does a pretty good eyebrow lift, mouth twist thing that communicates a lot of bemused disdain without having to try and be witty. Many states only require that one person be aware of a 'wiretap' (which has been expanded to include any recording device in most cases). In those states, you're fully within your rights to record your conversations. This may bump up against privacy/obscenity laws if you're essentially making amateur porn without her consent, but you can certainly record the audio safely. I can't imagine being able to get the kind of sex I enjoy from a professional I could afford.
