today my kid had to bring a family photo to kindergarten and just the way I've seen him be happy seeing the family together on the photo made me shed a few tears. How he was holding the photo, how he talked about it... it was so sad to see I can't offer him that anymore. I'm over my ex but what the divorce does to the kids is just so sad to see and my whole day today has been nothing but sadness.

Its a nightmare that is for sure and even after months of her moving out (but the relationship has been dead for a year before that) its still hard some weeks, but I do see a light at the end of the tunnel. I am not ready for another relationship yet but there is a lady absolutely crazy about me after 2 dates so that gives me hope in finding a better suited woman for me in the future, just not now. I have expanded on my hobbies when the kids are not around and found some old and new people to ha…

make sure you try everything you can think of. Don't rush things. its not as fun on the other side as it might seem but granted, most of us didnt pick to be on this side.

Chuckled at the reminder her dad gave you. Had a similar treatment, happy wife happy life -except he is very miserable, treated with no respect and a total doormat.

I feel you. A hard part for me was and still is the markings on the wall where our pictures used to be hanged. I replaced some but some are still empty and there is just en edge of dust on the wall where that picture was for the last 10 or so years. Have to repaint the walls and get some more pictures that is for sure. And spring is coming so that is planned eventually.

im also in the thick of it like you, maybe a few months ahead of you. its the same for me. its not something I imagined it could happen and it feels like my whole future is gone. and it is gone but something new will grow out of that. maybe something better. I know its not really helping atm but if you don't have any kids with her and with being only 26 years old consider yourself lucky. like really lucky. you got another chance at it. imagine the rest of us 10-20+ years older with kids already.…

it gets easier. try the grounding technique if you start feeling like you can't breathe. shes gone tho. ONLY way to get her back is to let her go. and if you let her go I don't think you will want her back.

for me there was no cheating so that opens the door a bit open but still, she would have to change so much that I just dont see her doing any of it. but yes, in theory, I would.

yeah its the same for me, basically alone. people ask once and that's it. no followup or anything. I have one friend that I visited a few days ago and I try to visit 1 or 2 times a month. He prepared lunch for me and I almost cried, it was a really nice gesture.

Yea I was ruined for the whole day, Constantly on the verge of tears and even cried a few times. Hopefully there wont be many of them, I remember I had quite a few when I stopped smoking but in that case I was happy when I woke up that it was just a dream. Can't imagine I'll be happy waking up with dreams of her.

Thanks for sharing. My ex is a wonderful person but I just wasnt the right partner for her. When the feelings subside and some time passes I'm sure I'll be thankful for the lessions she taught me.

I saw the video. He still has a girlfriend and is not intimate / not seeking a relationship with the ex. Its purely due to her health and the fact he has a spare room. While I'm not sure I would be the better man to do it, if its really an issue with her health (tho its been going on for quite a few months now so...) then I dont see a big issue here. He should be more honest about it tho, he has been hiding this for months.

no kids? honestly just break it off completely otherwise in a few years, maybe after you have a kid or two and she feels bored and she does the same thing you will never forgive yourself.

she moved once, maybe she would again? (i did not have that luck mind you!) tearing apart a family is brutal so do try as much as you can to keep it together.
