| 3 | The marginalization of male rape victims (750 word post, original content).The issue here is the quite the same as for raped women : in cases in which the woman "seems" to have been able to defend herself, yet hasn't, the victim is often blamed and less believed ("why didn't you bite, run, call for help etc. ?"). Since men are perceived as always able to defend themselves (whether they face a man or a woman), they're never quite believed when they say they have been raped.
