See above AGAIN, I am not disagreeing with this. L I am disagreeing with OP giving the dude carte blanche for any behavior short of physical violence, and blaming it all on the mother. I ask again. Who should get the blame? You are saying the dupe shares some of the blame.

Raising a kid that you thought was yours for even a month is an incredible mental burden. Who cares about money. I'm talking about the mental anguish of being scammed In This way.

I agree with the last paragraph. I just wonder how you do all those things if you are not speaking to the scammer at all. When would you even see the kid to do all that? I just mailed a test in for my supposed daughter. If it comes back negative I'm moving out immediately. I can't see a world where I talk to my wife ever again without lawyers involved. How am I supposed to see my daughter after that. I mean honestly since I found out I needed to test her my patience for her is severely limited. …

Who else should get blamed? It's solely her fault. Unless she was raped.

When you completely destroy someone mentally on purpose you need to take whatever punishment comes.

Cutting off contact with his wife's love child comes to mind. How can a man be expected to love a bastard unconditionally? Some men can others can't. There's also the issue of co-parenting with someone who betrayed you in the worst possible way. I would never be able to speak to my wife again without a third person around. That does not make for a good life for anyone involved. Better to cut all ties and let the mom figure it out.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
