My 16 year old son did something similar. He's from my first marriage. I don't remember what I was doing, something in the kitchen I think. The random wave of emotion hit me and I started crying. At first he came up to me and just put his hand on my shoulder. When the tears started really coming he turned me around and just hugged me while I cried on his shoulder. Really made me respect him more after that and made me proud to see the man hes turning into as he gets older. I always thought it'd …

The part that hurts the most is that she smiled to my face, told me she loved me, made plans for our future together, talked about our goals and dreams together, I confided in her some pretty dark shit from my past in confidence and trust, all the while she was cheating with several men behind my back. It takes a different kind of evil to do that to someone.

She filed after she was caught cheating with several men and kicked out of the house. So yea that's about the short and skinny of it. Papers have been signed, just waiting on the judge's signature now. Seven months ago I was dealt one of the biggest gut punches I've ever had to experience. Now I am happier than I have ever been and being alone is f*cking amazing. I might not ever entertain another relationship ever again. I love waking up everyday and being able to do what I want, when I want, a…

No contact. All shes gonna do is make fun of you and mock you. Save your dignity and dont waste your time with her anymore. She's most likely spending her birthday getting piped down by another dude anyway.

One of the best closures for me was accepting the fact that there would be no closure and that my ex would continue to lie and never take accountability for her cheating, even when she was busted red handed. My new mission in life is leveling up in every aspect and planning the future I was planning for us, for myself. The best revenge is bettering yourself.

Another thread in this sub among many where she turns into a different person after using GLP1's.

I have zero desire for any of that. I'm learning to appreciate being by myself. Once you learn to control your lust, its a lot easier to see through women and their bullshit. Just focusing on having fun and enjoying life on my own.

The support I received from my teenaged son during my divorce came as an absolute surprise to me. It was my second divorce (not his mother) and at first he was pretty non-chalant about it. But every time I spiraled and the emotions came he was always there with a hug or just a hand on my shoulder. He truly earned my respect during that time and it made me proud of the man he's growing up to be.

Man this was me about five months ago, your post hits home a little bit. Found out she was cheating with multiple men and everything blew up. Ended up kicking her out and havent seen or heard from her since. Just got the first draft of the decree this morning from my lawyer. Only thing I can tell you brother is when the tears come, let them come. Don't hold it in. Get into therapy because not having someone to talk to during this will suck the life out of you. I went down a dark path and almost …

Currently getting toward the end of mine, just waiting on the final decree. Currently about $20k in the hole right now in attorney fees. Sucks but at least I know I'm not getting screwed.

I'm currently going weekly, but its getting to the point where sometimes I dont have much to talk about. I'm still healing but the storm of heartbreak has mostly passed. I'd like to keep going so I was thinking of dropping it down to once a month.

She's keeping you on the hook man. Its all a manipulation game. She's been out partying and probably getting bent over by other dudes while you're alone and distraught. What happened is that she is realizing the grass isn't greener. She left you once, she will leave you again. Her respect for you is gone and taking her back is only setting yourself up for more hurt and pain.

When they want "freedom and independence" there is almost always another dude in the picture. This may not be what you want to hear, but that dude has been piping your wife long before she even brought up divorce. Cut your losses bro, she's gone and you're not getting her back. Lawyer up time now and protect yourself and get the ball rolling so that you can start the process of healing. Get into therapy as well because being alone while riding the emotional rollercoaster fucks us men up bad and …

The gym has been therapy 2.0 for me. Its been one of the primary outlets for me that have kept me from drowning myself in booze when the wound was still fresh and I was riding the emotional rollercoaster. Definitely got some strange looks out of people when I'd start tearing up/crying mid-set.

I've become very cynical and jaded now when it comes to marriage and relationships. Currently in therapy trying to work through this shit because this divorce fucked me in the head hardcore.

She decided that banging random dudes on tinder was more her style compared to building a secure and very comfortable life together.

Kicked my cheating ex out the night I found out about everything. Left to the bar to process everything and told her she better be gone when I got home. Came home that night and she was gone. Was the last time I ever saw her. Then I was left to deal with the emotions and logistics of everything by myself with a broken heart. Fuck her.

This is a manipulation tactic. Before the truth came to light, she was done with you and the marriage. The only reason she wants to reconcile is because she got caught in a lie(s) which looks very bad on her in court. She already had an emotional affair, what's going to stop that from happening again? Or even worse, it becomes a physical affair? It doesn't work and once that trust has been broken, it almost never comes back. You don't want to spend your life wondering what she's doing or who she…

The times I've been with women it still feels wrong, like I am cheating or something. Take your time man, its different for everyone. I've made the decision to not chase or actively date. I have a couple of women who are interested (or at least seem to be) but I'm playing it cool and taking things really slow.

That guy that she says she's interested in, has been piping your wife down for a while now. She's playing mind games and manipulating you to keep you on the hook just in case the grass isn't greener. As far as she's concerned, the marriage is done. Lawyer up time now and protect yourself and focus on your kids. This may be hard to hear, but its time to start the process of healing and moving on. Get yourself into therapy because you're going to need someone to talk to to work through the emotion…

Yup I just did mediation last week and now we are waiting on the final decree. The process has taken almost five months and I am about 20k in the hole in lawyer fees. I tried to do things amicably, but she had her single friends in her ear telling her she neended to lawyer up. And thats exactly what she did before she filed and had me served.

Dude I know it sounds hard, but dont entertain her. If she is dating other men, I guarantee you she is getting piped down by them as well. Once that happens, you dont take her back. She's playing mind games and trying to manipulate you to keep you on the hook just in case the grass isn't greener (and they usually find that it isnt).

I was in your shoes after my first divorce. I couldn't completely cut her off because we had a kid together. We did not end on good terms and so there was bad blood between us for many years. Coparenting with that mindset was a challenge. As the years went by and I realized how much better off I was without her, I started to realize that holding on to those old feelings was wasting my energy. Eventually (and recently) we got to the point where we finally just talked it out. We still arent friend…

Four pounds of ground beef and rice. There are many different variations of it. I meal prep it for six days a week, lunch and dinner. My grocery bill is between $60-80 per week. Its all I eat now due to budget and also my training regimen in the gym. I also hard-boil a dozen eggs on Sunday and a few of those every morning are my breakfast.

Never been a porn guy (just doesn't do anything for me) but I'm doing this thing I read about where you dont have sex or blow your load for a year, and its supposed to completely rewire your brain. I don't remember the exact psychology of it, but it was a fascinating read. So when my stbx cheated and took off and I finally hopped off the emotional rollercoaster, I figured I'd give it a try. Not gonna lie though, its been challenging because I've also been hitting the gym hard and blasting test l…

Currently on month six of abstinence. Honestly, the longer I go, the less I think about it. Women and relationships just aren't high on my priority list right now. Just focusing on myself, getting my life back together, and just having fun with friends.

When my stbx dropped the divorce bomb on me (two weeks before I found out about her cheating) she gave me a list of the usual reasons she didn't want to me with me anymore. I offered marriage counseling and was ready to do whatever it took to fight for our marriage. I genuinely loved that woman. After that talk, I left her with these words: No matter where you go in life, all of your relationships are going to be work, hard work at times. You are always going to have to put in the work even when…

Right there with you man. First marriage ended because she cheated and left. Currently going through my second divorce because she cheated and left. Both times they left and filed. Never getting married ever again. Currently back in therapy working through this shit. Its rough man and fucks with your head and emotions. See you in the gym.

We had a medium sized wedding with close friends and family. I got her a nice wedding rings set. As far as the cheating goes, its a really long story that started a few months ago. All the same red flags were there. I got into her phone. Found the tinder account and all the chat threads of her hooking up with dudes. We both have govt jobs with comparable income and no kids. We do have assets though but my attorney is trying to get her to mediation so we dont end up in court.

Yea its tough. We were connected at the hip from the day we met. We did everything and talked about everything together. It was like a switched flipped in her head. I just dont get it. We almost never argued and we got along great. Its only been about four weeks since I found out everything. I think I'm slowly starting to do better, but when I realize it, the memories come back and then I'm riding the emotional wave again.

I'm still in the home we bought together while I wait for an apartment approval and for the house to sell. Every where I go in here I am reminded of her. I try to stay out of the house as much as possible. A lot of time spent in the gym, out running, or just walking around. The only tough part is at night when I'm alone in bed. Even though she cheated and I kicked her out, I still miss her presence next to me in bed like crazy.

I've made a pact with myself to take a break from women/dating for, at a minimum, a year. I gotta get back on my feet after this is all said and done and I'm not gonna in a place mentally or have the time for any kind of relationship for a while.

I've set a boundary for myself. No women/dating for a year, minimum. I gotta get my head and life right after this is all said and done. My heart has been hardened and it might be difficult to have any kind of relationship for a while.

He may be right but there's shitty people in all economic classes. My first marriage was a low key, low cost thing and was nothing extravagant. It lasted 13 years and she cheated and took off with the dude. My second marriage (now) we did a bigger wedding, I got her a nice ring set with diamonds. We've been together 5 years and she announced a few weeks ago that she's leaving. So here's to divorce number two and absolutely never getting married again.

I'm about to be divorced for the second time. My first divorce was traumatic (she cheated, left, and took my kid) and I had to learn how to be happy alone. When I met my wife I'm with now, it was amazing and up to this point we had been good and we rarely ever had so much as a disagreement. We were building a life together, bought a house a year ago, and were making plans for the future. She drops the bomb on me that shes unhappy and that her mind is made up. Its okay, I've accepted that and rig…
