People really casually forgetting nonverbal communication is a large part of how we communicate. You don't have to say anything, he can see you are upset/disappointed/tired/etc., he just chooses to ignore it. If you want to spin this into a more positive light, he basically struggles socially. Why put up with that?

Absolutely agree with you not sure why your comment was getting downvoted but I think your edit helps with clarity. I side with women always but not those who are actively harming other women... while I sometimes do feel sorry for them because they have internalised misogyny, we should not give a pass to women who chose to uphold the patriarchy they are dangerous. I have struggled and still am because sometimes I turn a blind eye to a women's actions but I think it is very important to realise t…

Not sure what you are reading but she is trolling herself… most mothers undertake the brunt of caretaking while the dad skedaddles. It confuses me that you think he can’t use the car because it doesn’t track especially if you are attempting to force a man to do something that he doesn’t care about…

Wow that is such an astute observation! And very very true scantily clad almost naked women are being used for public ads and people don’t even blink that it could be bad for kids (rhetorical cause we live in a patriarchy 💀) Definitely a statement I’m storing to use one day. Your mom sounds like a great role model!

Makeup is expensive. Takes time to apply, takes time to get off. Unfortunately my skin has quite a lot of discolouration and I have genetic dark eye circles that even with concealer can’t cover well. So if I want to be promoted and seen at work I can’t go without it. I remember when my boss called me out for not wearing makeup while a male colleague who also had dark eye circles got a pass… We are measured by a different metric unfortunately. I have seen men wear leather belts that were peeling …

When OP said "explore, in healthy ways" the only way I can see it is with toys and by yourself. There is no way it should be explored or experimented with a man it won't be safe. There is just no way it can be tested out with a man, even if he is consistently doing good and you vetted to the most of your ability it could always turn out horribly and once it is done it is done.

Not even shocked anymore because every time when men rape women and is named in the news, the top search will be the woman's name. I hope that this can take off the rose-tinted glasses of any new members who have just joined. It is really important to see how most men are. Save your empathy for women.

Made by a man for men and wildly popular 🤢 I’m keeping it vague because I don’t want to promote it, it irks me deeply. The thing about being a radfem is that we are going against the grain of society as set up by the patriarchy. It is definitely tougher and more lonely. But we are growing day by day as can be seen by the numbers. I hope that you and I will meet a fellow radfem in the wild soon!

It is truly so upsetting they can get away with this shit because as men the law serves to protect them as well. I'm now also thinking about this current popular anime called that includes rape and harassment of girls and women by a man who is transmigrated into the body of a young boy. It is played off as character development. I am singling it out as it is INSANELY POPULAR right now so it truly tells you a lot about the state of things.

I have gone through the phase of being sad and depressed reading such stories, but do not put too much energy towards that anymore. I do have sympathy for such women and girls and my heart goes out to them because I was once like that. The thing is from young we are gaslight by society as a whole. It is not easy to get to a place of dignity and self-respect when you do not have anyone to show you better. Like the rest already mentioned the age gap is concerning. His age in particular makes me wonder why he has not settled down yet. It is easy to pay lip service to marriage when you don’t show any significant action but throw the word around. It is super effective with women who feel they have to settle down soon. Of course 6 months is way too early but is prime for love bombing. You mentioned that you cried during the conversation. What did he do when that happened? I saw another comment about y…

For all they have done to me, I do still really empathise with pickemeishas though I don't associate with them personally. I am sad for them because we all grew up fed with more or less the same messaging. Women seeing each other as competition has been cooked up and bought into. I do understand the quote and how it can be helpful to those who feel like they have to wear makeup everyday and look put together. I wanted to provide an additional viewpoint because I empathise with why it could be hard for these same group to be able to just stop being done up for all occasions. I think it is not wrong for her to say it in that manner. The feedback loop is doing its job. When she looks more attractive, people generally treat her better so she does feel better.Perhaps she hasn't dug deeper as to why hence her conclusion. It is the society that we are in hence we have to spend all that time to reach a certain baseline to not lose out. It is very much "I do it for me, because otherwise these are the consequences i face because i live in a patriarchy". It's so much extra ef…

I wouldn't want to call it a privilege at all. It's more like a tax if anything. And it only hits women and girls hard. It is so disproportionate in its consequences it's so obvious who created this system. But other than the term (I prefer using "lookism") I do agree it is just double standards. They love pitting women against women trying to create some internal competition by creating this insecurities and instilling it in us from the day we were born. We know this because young girls aren't …

I agree on absolutely no obligation for anything. It's not that cut and dry for women unfortunately, when society and the messaging everywhere has reduced us to our looks when we live in a patriarchy. It's definitely plays a huge part in affecting how you deal with other people in your life and what you may potentially seek out for that familiar feeling even if you know it's negative. There is a lot of "unlearning" to do. I thought I could leave unscathed because very early on I looked at my parents as anti-role models... but due to proximity they have still caused too much trauma. It’s projection because they really cannot live without us. Same with how a large portion of men think that we should be appreciative of any sexual attention because they want that themselves. It was top 10 in my country so I watched it the front and the end of the movie. But that was more than enough. I seen some comments in this thread and I don’t really understand why there are so many defending the Asian actor and his appearance? I don’t find the other guy good looking either subjectively. But by conventional objective standards the Asian guy would not be seen as attractive. Men would relentlessly shame women for their appearance so this irks me. While I’m not a fan of the trope, …

LVM collectively shaming men who treat women with the modicum amount of respect and decency... Just because they can't and won't meet the bare minimum standards. Same thing where women are collectively being shamed for our physical appearance by men. They are too lazy to look decent so standards for women have sky-rocketed into impossibilities. I am reminded of a wonderful comment that men are vultures not predators. They only prey on the weak and vulnerable. They get off on being called predators as we compare them to actual apex predators which they are obviously not as they don’t take on anyone their own size or stronger. So I am currently very sensitive of the term. I do feel bad for vultures though But i absolutely agree on what you have written. “Sex Work” is prostitution. They came up with that term to make it sound more palatable and to normalise it. Like “BDSM” instead of abuse. “Choking” instead of strangling. Without the money they get it’s rape because they aren’t consenting to it if not for that. And I’m sure they have been cheated out of whatever was agreed upon before it’s a shady industry after all. The same pattern repeats for every single case like this. It’s insane especially assuming most of his fans are young girls/ women. The victim gets blamed and gets everything dugged up about them to use against them. I mean recently too with Kim Seon Ho (Korean actor). Same thing with fangirls just defending. Thanks for the write up, I guess the show isn't a fresh take for me since there are ones that are similar but much better done without the gore, in addition to a better storyline. Like the slow motion, panning and focus on dead bodies. Most of the players were cannon fodder anyway. From experience my mom couldn’t care at all. I had childhood traumas and scars that emerged recently from what my brother did and I had a breakdown. She talked to him and he doesn’t remember it happening and said if he did he didn’t mean it. And my mom believes him. I decided I’m not going to support her anymore. I am sorry to hear that you feel you would be gaslighted because it’s painful especially if your own parents don’t care for your safety. Do lock your doors at night just to be safe and …

The dissenting comments have been removed as well so I don’t think it was ever meant to be something up for discussion. I don’t want to be focused on men or worship them. Main reason why I have shifted to being in FLUS instead unfortunately it’s not as active

I have been watching anime since a very young age and come from an Asian country. After discovering FDS, I have been very critical of what I consume be it TV shows, books, etc. Anime is just like any other medium where it is not problematic but what is pushed through the medium is because you know... men. Pure statistics wise, if the guy is into anime it would not be a good sign. Just as an example which I will not name and only describe there is a popular anime that attempts to normalise paedop…

curious to see someone else break it down I don't follow much on them. (in Jeff Bezos' case it is painfully obvious he is a NVM) But definitely feels like they waited for the youngest to turn 18

He is lucky he got the opportunity to take you out. If looking at it from the mindset of you "using him for a meal" does that mean you have to do something for him to not deem yourself as "using him for a meal"? If that was the case then dating must be transactional where the guy pays and you have to end up doing something with him or for him. On top of that there are so many other factors of how women tend to dress up way more than a guy when out for a date and the guy benefits socially just fo…

Have you already been going out with this man for months? Has he shown consistent effort in pursuing you? If not, I am not sure why you are gaslighting yourself by coming up with excuses for why his relationships don't last. Please do drop him - this short paragraph already reveals multiple red flags.

I hope you are dropping him immediately. 3-4 weeks is way too much for this nonsense... there is no need to entertain someone like that

It is easier said than done, but a lot of the ladies on here have had practice over time. It gets easier to do the more it is done - like many things. Level ups are not meant to be something easy. You are doing great for already putting in the work by cutting off completely and focusing on yourself. That said, it is easy to slip up and have creeping thoughts about an ex no matter how much work you have put in. My advice would be to do your daily FDS reading, this helps keep the messages fresh. A…

He is also having dinner so its not just something for you it’s also for him. You can’t really evaluate whether a man is HV or not just based on this one aspect. Personally I don’t think it’s good enough. Plus if it’s something that you just book and pay for it’s not that difficult, women are able to do that so easily. So there really should be other things to show effort
