I couldn’t sleep last night after reading the story and seeing the photos. It was the most horrific, disturbing, and disgusting thing I’ve ever heard of in my life. I don’t know how anyone could ever heal from such horrible abuse, but I hope she is somehow able to heal. Just reading the story made me never want to go on the internet again.

Old guys at the gym are the worst! The first time I tried barbell hip thrusts (this was after lifting weights for a while but my first time trying that exercise), I was setting up the weights, maybe a bit awkwardly, and there was this old man sitting about 15 feet away just STARING. I finally made eye contact with a "can I help you!?" expression and he says super condescendingly, "You better be caaaarefulllll!" Happened to me. I was 17. Looking back, my experience with this 23-year-old man was absolutely horrifically disgusting and degrading, and it is a next-level mindfuck to think back now and remember how it felt normal and okay at the time. Listened to the Bridgerton episode on my run today. Loved the analysis and almost spit out my water at "Wolfgang Amadeus Scrotezart." 😂 Was tempted to follow that with the bonus episode, but decided to save it for tomorrow's run. I am just absolutely loving this podcast! Keep it up, ladies!
