Sup man, I just made my first alone trip to san diego, and my advice is, TALK TO EVERYONE, ladies, old people, married couple, you are going to feel a good vibe if you talk to the others. One night I just literally stood up, walk to a group of 3 ppl (2 girls 1 male) and said "hey guys, you seem like you are having a good time, do you mind if I join you?" and thats all, we had an excellent time at the bar. Don't focus only on cute girls, talk to everyone about anything :)

Been in a similar situation but i was the guy hah.
