Ok so to be honest, it sounds like you didn't have enough attraction built. Plain and simple. Then you pulled the date-trigger too soon and blew out. This was a very 'warm' pickup (you were friends on Steam ffs) and reality is she'd probably friendzoned you long ago in her head. So you were working uphill.
