So you’re telling me you’ve never changed your view on something your entire life? Ok, we’re done here.

You clearly don't understand, i'll reiterate one last time and then just leave you to your own devices. If you censor people, hate speech or not unless it is very extreme, it builds resentment and they only grow in extremism. If you let them do their thing and encounter others to debate and interact with them that don't share their views, they are more likely to change their viewpoint. Happy cake day

In the real world, disagreement of opinion does not warrant censorship, even if their opinion is hateful in nature. It doesn't mean it is approved of or condoned, it just simply isn't against the rules (some of it is, and that is what is removed). The only way to learn about and change peoples mind is through meaningful discussion, and you can't have that without hearing what people have to say no matter how hateful. I implore you to go listen to Daryl Davis if this is some shocking revelation t…

Because the occasional quisling flies through and shitposts up the sub doesn’t mean the sub is misogynistic. MLK must’ve led a murdering hate group because a few murderers went on his marches. You see how stupid that sounds?

I wish I knew that for sure. I’m worried there are people out there who agree with her. I posted it because I want to warn people that there are people who think like that and who might have influence over others. I’m worried most of all that she will help spread the idea that feminists have done good things for men while MRAs haven’t. And if she is, you intend to help counteract that damage by sharing it with probably the sole group that is most aware of how factually incorrect her statements a…

This is arguably the most annoying thing about this subreddit. The low effort screencaptures of random morons you knew from highschool posting dumb shit on twitter. Nobody thinks these people know what they are talking about, and nobody cares about their opinion. Why is it constantly shared? Cool, we can laugh at them, but instead of rewarding low IQ twitter thots for posting dumb shit like this by giving them loads of attention, negative or positive, you stop giving attention to stupid people p…

I disagree. I mean i am in a very long term relationship so i'm already not like many other people here, but, I work out enough to be healthy as I'm one of the few with the hard hitting genetic lottery (mothers and fathers side have terrible heart issues). My prime imperative is money, and I want to live long enough to enjoy it, because I can and so far I am.

Actors taking a more conservative or rational view on social issues is usually career suicide. Just saying. Also, hes a celebrity. Why do you care about his opinion? Its no more important than the opinion of that homeless guy outside Dennys. Get your head right.

I personally think most of anything posted on social media is hot garbage, but the way forward really isn't and shouldn't be censorship for anyone regardless of belief. At least Instagram is moving away from bias.

No, you did not, and if you did, it must be subject to tailored search results... because my first page is at the bottom of this post. Nowhere within the first 10 pages did I find any mention of AAUW's article except for people debunking it, again, using the DOL information that INCLUDE hours worked and not JUST MEDIAN PAY. This is a HUGE distinction... First off, here is a video I haven't watched but seems like an okay one explaining this issue. I am probably shooting myself in the foot here, b…

The US Department of Labor debunked the wage gap. Literally google the above sentence and you will find the study itself, and hundreds of articles summarizing it.

I took a minute and perused that particular subreddit and i left agape. The primary issue with cheating has a lot less to do with the sex and religious aspect than people realize. It’s fundamentally a breach of trust if you are in a monogamous relationship. You agreed to have only one partner, you knew what you were getting in to from the jump, and if you didn’t you entered into it far too early. (Probably why so many people have poor credit, they don’t pay attention to what they agree to.) And …

Regardless of my opinion, it shouldn't be closed. There is literally a female equivalent subreddit, and that has not received any attention from the moderators at all yet you see many of the same posts with genders switched.....

i mean, regardless of if you are here for MRA or not, and regardless if he is the most hateful person in the world, the posts he made do not matter to neither. His points are valid, backed up with evidence, and in direct reply to yours, which have neither.

he literally just answered every single one of your points individually and how it was objectively incorrect. how is he pointing fingers, exactly?

While it is legal and barring my personal thoughts on the matter, i will say -specifically- this instance the hypocrisy is appalling. I remember THIS EXACT THREAD being posted about a male by his wife, and most of the posts told her to go to the police. This was literally in the same subreddit even. If i can find it i will edit this post, if not then yeah.

I'm not exactly full blown MGTOW, i'm more of a person who is aware of the completely out of whack justice system and how society treats men. I browse subreddits like this, of really any type of topic not even this in particular, to expand and challenge my viewpoints. Its not that rare to find some shit hidden in the rough that really makes you think or brings something to your attention you never thought about before.

I think it's more common than you think, the mentality at least. I've met quite a lot of people who follow the "MGTOW Philosophy" who aren't MGTOW/identify as MGTOW/even know about MGTOW.

thats not what i was saying at all lol we were talking about schools bullshit "no tolerance policies" and i thought they were both suspended for 5 days, which would be in accordance with their policy and equal (regardless of right or wrong), but i didn't notice he had to go to court or anything like that.

isn't both getting 5 days suspension equal punishment?

in this case, thats not sexist. Thats just how schools do thing these days, bullshit "no tolerance" policies. If you get beat up and it even looks like you swung back, both of you get suspended, man or woman.

Im personally MGTOW because of the courts and bias in general. Mind you i am in a long term relationship, but there will never be any marriage here. I have also set rules and boundaries that heavily determines the women i will involve myself with on a romantic level and i have reasons for each and every one. As a quick example of one of my expectations, almost every marriage I’ve heard about has failed, and every man ive met in my 23 years on esrth whom is married has told me not to get married …

I don't post here much because i'm not 100% MGTOW, but i agree with most of the philosophy here, so a first time poster! In my case it was the story of Charles R Bruce Jr. You may know him better as the lawyer who went to prison because he couldn't afford paying 100% of his income in child support and alimony. I'm 23 currently, and I came across this story maybe... 2014? It wasn't so much the story itself, but, it made me really reflect on my life experiences at that time. A few major points. On…

yeah, everyone agrees with that and i'm pretty sure the person who made that tweet understands, i'm not sure you do. but guess what, having age of consent in the lawbooks doesn't make people omniscient and aware of your age. as other posters in this thread have stated, some underage women look much older, and some lie really well, and some much older women look much younger. the fact you're intentionally going to place that is supposed to be 18+ and going out of your way to deceive people, in so…

i do agree with you except for the part where you mention "terms like being "sucked into marriage"". it does happen to people, objectively, men and women. People are shitty, and people are petty.

you really just kinda said nothing but "hey this is the cause" with no actual evidence to back it up. toxic masculinity isn't real, toxic people are. depression goes untreated because men fear being made an outcast socially or may not have the means that many women do to get help. people also think men cant be raped because they are small minded, nobody thinks of drugs or anything of the sort, and its a common thought between men and women. if toxic masculinity is what you define it here, either…

I mean, the thread was clearly about the content. Editors like this are a dime a dozen and you can find them in pretty much every type of journal. Shit, i see errors like this in academic journals. Whining about the grammar and dismissing the rest of the content because of it doesn't really do much other than make you look like an asshole, especially when a brief look at your post history shows you have a past of not caring much about it anyway.

yea its instinctual as a human being to fear rejection, especially romantic advances. as a no is akin to you failing at a primal need. i have never met a human, man or woman, in my life that at some point did not fear rejection, those who no longer fear it just went through it more.

Things like that I completely get, and are unfair. I -think-, don't quote me on this, it may not be entirely legal to do that to a person but it would be one of those things that almost impossible to prove unless you get someone dumb enough to literally write on paper "im not letting person x to do this task because they are y". I know those things happen though, but, I'd like to hope that they aren't as commonplace as we think. I can't speak for trades, but, I know reading here on reddit many t…

Which part specifically? I'll again use politifact as a summation that uses the same study, so that no, it's not always the true, but yes in some cases it is true, but yes, the figure is significantly less than everyone says, and it is that for multiple reasons as you will see below explained by two additional articles. https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2012/jun/21/barack-obama/barack-obama-ad-says-women-are-paid-77-cents-dolla/ When i went to google it, I found even another ar…

https://www.dol.gov/wb/resources/Womens_Earnings_and_the_Wage_Gap_17.pdf in short; women overall make less than men, but not when working the same job as its up to occupational differences, not differences in pay of the same occupation. so they basically choose to make less whether encouraged by societal means or otherwise. https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2015/jul/15/politifact-sheet-gender-pay-gap/

I cant attest to the first two as I didnt read the article, but, with looking at the US, in Europe its far more egalitarian, specifically in Scandinavia where its probably the most egalitarian pay-wise in the world, and Women still choose lower paying professions in droves, and there have been many many many studies on this. Google also found out that women were being paid more than men for the same position and had to give men a raise. If you do actually think the pay gap is real, refer to the …
