I'm sure they got the physical response from him they wanted; he is only 17, after all.

because it actually showcased the importance of men having male relationships. that just having a wife or girlfriend is not enough; that men need to let loose and be ourselves. You are pushing a lot of gender stereotypes here, as did the movie. What is wrong with enjoying "girly" things? In the movie and your comments this seems to be portrayed as bad. It is not. Men and women should be able to enjoy what they enjoy, with whoever they wish. Yes, in the movie, once character looks down on his new…

The question is, which side does this post fall in?

I was thinking this too, but you can view it as an article about things gone right where mr might expect it to go wrong.

This issue is called moral luck. Another place you see this is with drunk driving. If you found a good solution, you probably just earned a PhD in philosophy.

Ahh, I see thank you. It looks like this rule is not in the US and that's why I was confused.

I don't think that Lawyers have this obligation. They have to take on any paying client? I'd like to see a source for that if you have it.

I find it is often true. Not is this case, but often.

Unfortunately, that might feel discriminatory towards families which do not bit that profile. Why not "all parents welcome" or more vaguely, "all caregivers welcome". On the other hand, when do we stop getting offended?

As one man to another.... men shouldnt need circle jerks to feel better about themselves. Let the women have theirs. Counseling and group counseling can be incredibly effective. Talk therapy is actually backed up by research. In my experience, a lot of it comes down to realizing where your thinking is a bit of and thinking a bit more rationally. Th res of what you wrote is great though. I always feel better when I accomplish a task.

Perhaps you could speak to a counselor there. Tell them your story and ask if they have a similar group to yours. In my experience, university counselors are often amazing people. Worst case, you totally justify your anger. Best case, they already have such a group or form one because of your actions.

The offering itself should not bother you. What you should feel free to be bothered by is any lack of similar program for men only. Equality doesn't have to mean taking away what others have.

Perhaps you should reread my comment and think more deeply about it.

Or the way some people in this sub portray feminists. Or the way many liberals say on /r/politics portray republicans. The problem isn't feminists, republicans, MRAs or liberals. The problem is extremists who are so stuck with an ideology that they can't see anything else.

That's all well and good for your every day life, but what about biases by police and courts when it comes to abuse and custody. Those aren't just things you can choose not to associate with. I think this sub focusses too much on the things you dismiss, but there are legit issues too that really need to be changed.

Being assertive is a good thing. Maybe you meant aggressive? Edit: 2 sentences not one.

I don't think I'm missing the point. School bans Movember because girls can't grow facial hair The title of the post is way off. While this is still moronic, it's not just about men vs. women. I acknowledge that it's stupid, and it is. It's just not a gender issue.

You're way off here. While this is still moronic, it's not just about men vs. women. In this case, there is a boy who is one of few who can grow substantial facial hair at the school (male or female).

"saying yes to the sex with words or clearly enthusiastic actions.” (emphasis mine) The author writes this piece as if the words need to be clearly enthusiastic. From my reading this is not the case. This is a mountain out of a mole hill situation.

Are you saying we do or we should?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
