What happens when the mother says that any fine would simply impoverish her and cause hardship for the child? Do you think any court would impose it? What about any of the cases where people have been placed in essentially the system you have described? The mother claims that "John Doe" is the father; a few years later they get a summons for back child support. The man claims to know nothing of the child and the courts don't care. He has been named as the defacto father by the mother for several…

How? Under your system, the mothers word is taken as fact until the supposed father can prove it isn't. Also under your system, the supposed father is penalized until they can prove themselves innocent. Under no legal system do you have to prove yourself innocent.

And then the mother can prove the child is his; not the other way around. Courts can order blood tests but it's not to prove the child isn't his, it's to prove it is.

Snatched $60 million box office on a $42 million production budget means it lost about $40 million as it takes about 2.5X production budget to break even.

Why should the man be forced to prove the child isn't his?

Did you not read my answer at all? You cannot compare a situation dealing with a wife the same as a daughter. Their relationships are not even close to similar; unless you have a really messed family situation. The most important part of my response was that I already said alimony was stupid.

Why do brides wear white? So they match the washing machine. Jokes like this are not new; if this is what works you up; life is going to get a lot harder.

If the husband slept with the wife, no one would care; if he slept with the daughter, everyone would lose their mind. While I agree alimony is stupid, you can't compare a situation dealing with a wife and daughter.

Some people classify drunken sex as rape; those people are idiots. Classifying emotional abuse as domestic violence is stupid; next thing, people will be charged for being emotionally unavailable.

And in this case, the guy was awarded 13 million simply for having been married to a high earning woman for 4 years. Why did he deserve his ex's money? Equality means calling bullshit, bullshit. I don't think people should win the lottery simply because someone they divorced someone worth a lot about of money; but if a woman shouldn't get the money, neither should a man.

I, for one, do not want emotional abuse to start being classified as domestic violence; being an asshole or bitch is a far stretch from being violent.

While I understand the sentiment, what they did was wrong. People might cheer it on saying he got what he deserved; what happens next time when the person is innocent and falsely accused?

I don't think it is a double standard. If the roles were reversed, people would call her a money grubbing Whore and say she didn't deserve his money.

Except for the fact that the article references another case in which a woman was charged similarly. This is not a male vs female thing, it a stupid law vs personal responsibility thing.

He was also, according to the courts, ignoring restraining orders as well as disposing of marital assets against court orders. Whether those claims are true or not is the important factor.

The article says that he breached restraining orders and non-depletion orders. Restraining orders are pretty straight forward and I assume the non-depletion order deals with marital assets prior to their distribution in the divorce. The courts are claiming despite the fact the courts told him he wasn't allowed to do something, he kept doing it; denied breaking the court orders and refused to follow them.

Sorry, he agreed to a sexual encounter with a 14 and 19 year old, he knew exactly what he was getting into. Had he said he wasn't interested in the younger girl, I would agree he set up; instead, what he said was "Well I think she is a bit young, lol but depends on what you have in mind".

So long as you ignore the fact he kept a log, had date rape drugs and plead guilty. There is a big difference between someone being guilty and been proven guilty; if you had actually read the article, he was found guilty of two crimes and plead guilty to a third. The fact that he was also acquitted of additional crimes, doesn't take away from his three convictions.

Let's see: 21 complainants, he kept a log, he was caught with date rape drugs and he plead guilty; and then you make this bullshit post making it seem as if he is a victim. You are the reason why this reddit gets a bad name.

I know everyone says that pregnancy lasts 9 months but it's actually 40 weeks. 40 weeks is actually 10 months (+/-).

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
