I think the FDS rule is 90 days, so I wouldn’t really go by number of dates. Some trash can wait weeks until they can’t keep up the facade anymore. Other trash can only go a few days. I know if might sound silly to hang on to screenshots of stuff like that but 1. You never know when it could come in handy and 2. It reminds you what an ass he was. I still have some from a long time ago but I still look through them when I come across them and I think “gah what a complete loser!” My feelings are gone for them but they’re still an asshole.

My first thought was to not respond. And I mean not even a word. Delete the convo but screenshot it first and lock those screenshots away (you can in your notes if you have an iPhone).
