1	Happiness Yeah, thinking about it we pay a quarter of one income on the mortgage. It's a comfortable level of quality but we're not aiming to be house poor. We could afford more, but it's seems needlessly excessive at some point. 3	Happiness I wouldn't say lower standards, I would just say different. It's like saying that women have lower standards to derive pleasure/appreciation for their cars and driving.
