Thanks - I absolutely see the men in my generation as much better dad's than my father's group was. I think we'll continue to see more men as the custodial parent and hopefully balance things out some. It is annoying and reductive to see people assume the woman is automatically going to be the more responsible parent - this isn't always the case. At the end of the day, the kids need the best environment that can be provided by both parents, even when they aren't living together.

The custodial parent is also fiscally responsible for the children. I agree with you that I think men can often get the short end of the stick in child custody cases these days and I think we can do better. The men in my generation are much more engaged in child rearing than my dad's generation were and that makes a difference in the court system. I have multiple male coworkers who are the custodial parent and most have shared custody. I sure we'll continue to see more balance in who has custody…

If it is any consolation, men were automatically awarded custody of all children until the 1870s when it slowly started to flip towards where it is today. Today just under 80% of custody cases are decided in favor of the mother. Child support payments are always based on the income of the non-custodial parent regardless of gender. And you're right, the amount can be adjusted in regards to inflation or whatever the child's needs are. Again, this is about children, not about victimizing men.

Seems to me that these laws are designed to ensure children have sufficient financial resources for food, shelter, and adult (usually parental) supervision. Rather than these laws being designed to victimize an adult regardless of gender. To avoid running into these laws, I advise you to take steps to control your fertility, regardless of your gender.

Men are beautiful, look at the Sistine Chapel, tons of beautiful, nude men. The context of the nude is very important. Is his nude body meant to be humorous, threatening, seductive? Men can be all and more. I'm all for more nudes as long as it makes sense in the context of the plot.

It looks like this isn't the right relationship for you, and that is fine. I recommend you clarify to yourself what turned you off. You want a woman with experience and this woman was short with you; that's good. Identify to yourself what specifically you didn't like, her not taking responsibility for her fertility? Her having short term rather than long term relationships? Knowing what set you off the rails will help you be discerning in the future. Best of luck.

Wait, where in the article does it say that only men spread viruses? This article was about a train that used to only be available for essential workers is not (during certain hours) allowing essential workers and women to ride. No explanation why non-essential-employee-men are not allowed to ride during those hours. Am I reading the wrong article?

I agree, men and boys have been overlooked in these areas. I think it is a relic of our culture of toxic masculinity. It assumes that boys and men have no feelings that can get hurt. Never have depression. Just need to 'man up.' It is cruel and dehumanizing. I think calling out the bad parts of our culture (like you just did) is a good thing. We all need to be nicer to each other.

You are too short at 6'1"? You just said anything under 6' is a problem...so isn't 6'1" a good height? 6'1" is not too short. It is quite tall. 5'9" is average for US males.
