Two things. 1- you never made any specifications on locations so I will assume, naturally, the larger audience present on reddit; Americans. Do not get pissy with me for taking your statement as generalized to a wider audience. If you wanted it to pertain to a specific culture you should have said something. Most of reddit's base is made up of Americans, so the advice would apply to my government and governments like it. I read through your post several times to ensure I understood what you were…

Progress isn't rapid, it's incremental. That's what makes a lot of young adults scared. They don't see the yesterday problems, only the today ones. Progress is already happening where people are beginning to listen to the facts rather than assume someone is simply crazy without careful analysis. When society sees humans as humans you'll find it far easier to point out the issues of male inequality and work towards solutions. Women already want to be drafted equally. Biden passed that, trump rebu…

More like the person the admin hires to know the law and ensure compliance. Not the very top but an informant. We're very alike in abuse. I empathize deeply. I've been working hard to get to the point where I can fight through what it did to me so I could actually go back to school and do something I feel is worth my time that pays me enough to be comfortable. It's alright to take your time to figure things out. As long as you're alive you have every opportunity to make progress. Just do what it…

You're absolutely right and she was infact the most qualified person ever because she understands the extent of her job. Good doctors will continue to buy books. My current NP bought books specific to my condition and I'm his only patient with said condition. He didn't wave me off like everyone else. Being in a job that will constantly change, much like the law, requires purchasing a ton of books as the years go on and constantly learning. People who love to learn and solve problems are perfect …

Like every single profession there are people who should be in it and people who need to do something else but follow the money exclusively. Money is a pure evil that draws in the worst people. I agree with prejudice for sure. I've had the same things told about me on the opposite side too. My depression isn't real because I'm not being dutiful to God as a woman and other such nonsense. I'm not a woman, by the by, oh and not to mention my body has always had the worst genetics that needs invasiv…

I have to wonder if your specific circumstance has to do with an overreaching corruption rather than gender or sex. If they are this blasse about their corruption and ignorance with such a poor level of care it would be worth looking into by the department of human services (USA on a state by state basis) as what you are describing is a violation of procedure on a federal level. There are three very important facets of misappropriation of funding; abuse, waste, and fraud. We have to be refreshed…

The documentation at my workplace is extremely specific to create a low barrier for qualification. "Do you have these behavioral health conditions?" and "Have you been diagnosed with the following physical health conditions?" They are a leading hospital program that people are not used to. When someone says "I haven't been diagnosed" I refrain "I never said diagnosed". I did say I'm a stickler for the rules and self diagnosis is very much welcomed at my workplace. My workplace absolutely cares, …

Nope. My bi weekly reviews are perfect with PT care and compliance, I'm a stickler for the rules and ensuring people are comfortable and happy. My experience with PT disclosure of health is that men are less likely to disclose any issues despite the fact that us knowing what's wrong will only help. Feelings are not facts. Your personal experience is not that of someone who works in healthcare, who has a far larger sample pool of experience and data that backs it up. In fact I might be an outlier…

Getting a man to be open and honest about their health (as per my job) is often like pulling teeth. I can't help you my fullest disposal if you aren't honest with me about your brain or body. It's not manly to be open about your problems, even in a healthcare system. This spans across all ages too there is no one demographic or location where this is an outlier. It isn't. I'll have the most honest man from Massachusetts, or a bottled up lying mess from Pennsylvania, a young man from North Dakota…

I got the opposite. People were unbelievably rude to me. Transitioning got me equal treatment in games. No one was nice to me until the beard grew in. I don't do much online gaming anymore, too busy and the kids are too sweaty so it isn't fun. Need an "adults that have been working for a decade" elo.

If anything being trans showed me just how fucked it is treating men the way we do. I thought it was fair to isolate men from women. I'm NB masc presenting now, men cant even say anything in public spaces about being unfairly treated without being labeled as a predator. There's an anxiety campaign from women who really should be getting medical help rather than blaming all men for the crimes of her father, uncle, brother, boss, coworkers, etc. it isn't healthy. I was never in favor, just saw it …

Pretty sure it has nothing to do with an anti male campaign and more to do with people being smarter about sex and making safe choices for themselves. Plus we've got all kinds of decent substitutions that aid in those safe choices. Have you seen the sex toys on the market today? VR porn? People are forming long distance connections with the greatest of ease, it was radical to imagine when I was a young adult having such a relationship and people called you crazy. Now everyone is doing it and usi…

The last time I went to therapy she wouldn't stop talking about her baby. The only time I had effective therapy was hospital grade therapy that unlocked a lot of buried trauma and forced me to learn how to understand it and my own emotions behind it. That hospital grade shit needs to be the default. Regular therapy is not even close to enough. I need science and logic to back up the sessions, not just talking. The women I've talked to about how the kind of therapy I need is the kind of therapy t…

Hate teaching is happening to everyone man it doesn't matter what color or gender you are there is substantial hate teaching across all kinds of groups. The idea is if someone is spreading hate towards a human being then they are not worth giving a damn about. If someone tells you to be anti human because they "deserve it" for being born a certain way we are looping right the hell back around to bigotry. Wild to think any group feels like they are immune to bigotry because of their status. Some …

I found that every single major trending sub is run by people who I believe to be abusive. I've been banned from my fair share as a survivor myself. I can't remember the reasons but I remember one mod stalking me around reddit and harassing me in the comments of subs completely unrelated before banning me for calling it out. I'm glad to have at least one sub I can help kids survive their own abuse as best as I can, one where the mods actually care to give the poor kids an outlet to be seen and u…

I don't know if this qualifies because it has been true for many generations. How many of you asked a girl out because she was nice to you, at all? In certain facets of society, and while it is improving, has imparted that men being truly vulnerable with other men is seen as a faux pas. A year or so ago there was a tiktok trend where women secretly recorded their male partners being vulnerable and loving. While it is a breech of trust to the extreme it did also bring to light that many men have …

I mean it is part of it, but damn everyone can have compatibility issues. It kinda feels like people are taking it too seriously though. That's the kind of thing that comes from a prudish culture overall. It's fun, it's gross, it's silly, and when it's treated like a ceremony or the most important thing there are bound to be some attitude problems. But it's pretty clear you can tell whose never had fun or are still virgins. Cuddling while still covered in fluids isn't my idea of fun. Warm shower…

She's probably not counting Ben Shapiro and Andrew Tate bootlickers. I think the implication is that bigoted men who have terrible views about their own masculinity will not accept flowers. They want another watch or something and to not be talked to on their birthday at all. Coming from someone who was raised by a jackass who thought like this. Didn't even allow a nice fancy cake just the more boring dessert because sweet cakes are for sissies.

This poor kid. I hope it would help many of you to know that a number of people actually want to be men/masc presenting, people who've taken medications and done surgeries to be seen as a man. We fought for the ability to become ourselves and continue to fight through abysmal statistics on our own separated health. Trans men have an eye gen higher rate of suicide than cis men and a higher rate of SA than cis women. But does any of this discount the hardships? Absolutely not. For those of us who …

The last therapist I talked to spent a significant amount of time talking about her damn baby than listening to my need to control my anger issues. I stopped going to her and turned to my friends. One in particular did everything he could to help me and it's been working. The women I'm friends with have stopped talking to me mostly because of my frustration in not being listened to when I always did everything I can to listen to them and help them. But I'm "too quick to upset" when it was simmer…

My daughter had so many issues with me giving her pets on her head, helping her with her pin feathers, sitting on me for long periods of time. Then I transitioned. The biting has mostly stopped unless I gotta rub coconut oil on her beak. I can reach into her cage without being attacked. She stays on my shoulder and has even started moving down my arm and exploring around my mouse pad. She does tricks for me now and absolutely loves to give my face a thorough licking when I haven't shaved for a f…

I appreciate the first paragraph but there comes a point where you loop into a feedback cycle that isn't constructive to equality. What you said about women being incapable leaders is what women say about men for a different reason. I don't want to fall into the same stupid ideology that idiot feminists say. Blind generalization is literally why we are here.

People also incorrectly assume being lonely means having no partner. Not so. Because of how men are raised many do not form intimate friendships, people you can tell everything and say "I love you" or give compliments on his body. People make jokes but women really do just tell other women they have a nice ass. I'm glad it's slowly changing. I don't want to continue pushing shame for love, hugs, and compliments from other men. This sort of thing gets joked about by male Gen Y and Gen Z comedians…

It's pretty wild but my mom has been with so many women, most of them were bad for her to the point where she has made an ultimatum to never want to be married ever again. I remember how excited she was to finally be free to be herself, her first marriage was abusive, her second marriage was abusive, the next fiance cheated, and she bounced around a lot since then looking for a partner that valued her independence after each person she married or was going to marry hurt her. She feels like marri…

One of the things I noticed during my transition was the change in sexual interests and libido. This kind of thing is absolutely sexual harassment and moreso predatory exploitation of typical biology. That's something I noticed that heavily impacts advertising too, that is if you are in a situation where you can't turn off advertising. Every single corner is filled with pin ups, naked and suggestive women. All attached to banners on sites that young adults are more likely to frequent unguarded, …

Oh on our side of the wall we experience both at once. When my face is covered by my helmet it's nothing but misogyny, they can't see my bald temples and beard but I'm too broke to afford surgery, binders aren't perfect, so I face harassment. Then when the helmet is off I'm suddenly a stalker for going from cheese to milk at the same time as a woman not even an hour apart from each other. You can imagine how much this drains me. It's dehumanizing from both sides.

I saw this pretty clear as day about 14 years ago, first out living on my own, no discrimination I just treated men as people, saw a poor fella sitting in the vestibule of a Walmart who looked to be having a hard time and I talked with him. Later on his friend rushed to find me by the eggs and said that I really helped him out and I was asked out. I wasn't in the market but i could tell how much just simple kindness was appreciated. I've been transitioning for a few years now, becoming increasin…

Man I'm the outlier. I know how to throw a punch and restrain someone, my kicks are no joke, I'm shorter than most everyone too so it's a matter of using my brain moreso than my body. This manager has no brains. You grab the hair, get her to the floor, sit on her lower back until the police arrive. You may not have the upper body strength to hold her arms down but you certainly can use your weight. She is still a woman and won't be able to fight you. There's a magical phrase to use, "you are und…

It's true. I never gained any fat on my calves and they are ripped. I can push about 400 lbs with my legs easily. I haven't tried a set recently with them but hey I know that if I stomped on someone's hand I would easily break some bones.
