I don't think you're too picky at all. And honestly, you're better off having high standards that may go un-met than settling for some slob who could ruin your life. I wish I had been as mature and selective at your age, as it would have saved me thousands of dollars and uncountable hours of stress. Keep doing what you're doing.

They are so thoughtless and forgetful, too. It's impossible for them to hold a conversation. You're always like, "remember that time..." and they get this glassy look and go, "uhhh no I don't remember" and it's literally everything from where your best friend's house is to the fact that their second cousin has a gluten allergy. For men, a conversation is about what they are into or what they like about themselves, but the second you start talking passionately about something you're "so cute" for…

Ladies, get you a relationship where "trying new things" means joyously exploring your and your partner's sexuality together! This should be driven by curiosity and passion, never pressure. Being sexually open and explorative is great for your personal health and your LTR. --Quick aside, this advice is for committed LTRs and/or marriages. Be extremely judicious with sexual exploration in any relationship without commitments. As always, you should never do anything sexual unless you are comfortab…

That's fair. My husband has an old game system and plays once in a while, but it's not his primary reason for existing and he never plays when we have things going on. That said, anytime I meet someone who self-describes as a Gamer or includes video games in their hobbies, I don't waste time trying to have a relationship with that person. "Gamers" have something wrong with them, they don't know how to read people or tune into human situations as well as people who haven't deadened their brains b…

I have had this one male friend for almost a decade now. He isn't my type, I'm not his, and more importantly, he's been on/off with my sister. I've been in a committed relationship as long as I have known my man friend. It is absolutely possible to have male friends, but in my experience it only works when there is absolutely no sexual attraction either way. My male friend is certainly not my best friend—he's a lvm with high hopes, but too stoned and shortsighted to do much with himself—but we c…

Sure, "not all men," but you can never know for sure until you've known a given man a loooong time. So we should treat all men as potentially dangerous until they've proven to us they are not, and even then, take everything a man says with a grain of salt. Misogyny is embedded deeply in most men via culture and their own parents/father/religion. Even the "nice ones" sometimes believe horrible things about women's, they're just better about combing their hair and using please-words. I'm not advis…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
