I find that difficult to believe. On my university campus, there is enough eye-candy in places that don't require a fee to go through the door. No need to go to some sexist club/bar.

Men make up 50% of the population, and abusers are not exclusively or even mostly male. I don't have the actual numbers with me right now, but I'm trying to use reason to estimate them and not rely on emotion driven advertising.
