when my ex wife filed for divorce we had been going to a couples therapist and the entire time i felt as if i was the only one trying to do the exercises or any work. at the time i just kept my mouth shut and told myself maybe she is just struggling with it, after i got the divorce papers i flat out asked her and was told "i didn't want to try and make it work". that still hurts thinking about that and might have been better not to hear.

this was my ex exactly, i was always in charge of spending during the marriage and now that we are divorced she racked up over 20K in debt in a 3 month period. tried to make it my problem, i just laughed and hung up.

sometimes its the smallest things that give you the extra push. i recently rearranged some furniture in my boys rooms and remembered i had a HDMI splitter i used on my ps4 long time ago. hooked it up to both of there tv's and now they play games together in different rooms and wont stop talking to me about how cool it is.

i am the happiest i have ever been with this current girl i have found. i keep saying she is perfect because any question or test i have given her she answers with exactly what i would have chosen. things in my marriage that i do that would have embarrassed my ex or gotten me into trouble, she loves me for she encourages me to quote movies and shows and tell corny jokes. she has made me realize my marriage wasnt the best and i deserve better. im a little scared to try at it again but i dont want…

im in this exact situation and yes i do feel like she has wasted the last 13 years of my life. i wanted a partner who would stand by my side till the end, not cheat on me when things get a little rough and tell me they just didnt even want to try and fix the relationship.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
