This clip is really about the humanities in general which encompasses many fields of study. In this clip he's explaining the tendency many academics have of being envious of the respect that hard sciences have and in turn using obtuse and arcane language as a coping mechanism. Many people don't consider humanities real "science" because they don't use math or have the same rigor that the fields of mathematics and physics do.

"I know he is a very religious man and is committed to the church." That's all that needed to be said.

Academic tenure is primarily intended to guarantee the right to academic freedom: it protects teachers and researchers when they dissent from prevailing opinion, openly disagree with authorities of any sort, or spend time on unfashionable topics.

Her Ex just lucked out. If it's one thing Judges don't like it's people attacking them. Be prepared to see him win everything during the divorce.

Ever time that lawyer opened his mouth he created more feminists than Andrea Dworkin.

How did it feel being on the Daily Show for that one?

It also would mark their driver’s licenses with the word “offender” — in different colors to show whether the victim was a child or adult — and bar offenders from school property. What's wrong with a pink triangle?

A feminism that deliberately neglects boys is immoral in my opinion. This is one of the best quotes.

Given the researchers’ findings, it might be better for all concerned if they choose to remain in the dark about any “suspicious” children. Fuck that.

The woman? What about the system that allows her to sue a child she abandoned for support?

In New York we don't take credit or debit cards for lotto, the eppicard is just like a credit card and can be used for everything else- beer and cigarettes included. At my store we don't accept the food stamp card.

Even if they were all anyone would have to do is visit an ATM and get cash.

Once every 2 or 3 days. It works like a credit card so if I'm looking somewhere else and she slides it I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

I work at a gas station in upstate NY. New York uses something called the Eppicard when it gives people child support payments. I can't count the number of times that I've seen women buy cigarretttes, blunts, 18-packs of beer etc with this card. Fifty percent of the time this is in their wallet as well. I have NEVER seen the eppicard used by a man, in seven years.

The 33-year-old mother of three remains married to her husband, a Los Angeles police officer, and her attorney said the couple have no plans to divorce. WTF?

This article says shes married and has three kids. The first thing I would do as a father would be to get the children very far away from this woman, no matter what the consequences.

That her story. She could be making the whole thing up to cover for the fact she stole daddy's car. The point is that her story is given benefit of the doubt and the boyfriend is never questioned. And when was the last time you heard of sex trafficking not being a crime?
/r/MensRights08/02/10 09:38 PM

She stole her fathers car and then blames this guy who we never get a chance to hear from. The media uses the term "Sex Trafficking" even though she was a willing participant. She is treated as "innocent" while the man is the scum of the earth.

"Are there men I don’t hate? Sure. But it is the exception that proves the rule, doesn’t it?" = "And then they all come along, the 80 million good Germans, and each one has his decent Jew. Of course the others are swine, but this one is a first-class Jew." - Heinrich Himmler

When I hear stuff like this I wonder what was the point of breaking away from Britain, what was the point of WW2 or the cold war when we are becoming just as oppressive as those we fought?
