I’m nowhere near overweight, I’m fairly thin with an athletic build, but men saying derogatory things about “fat chicks,” especially when they aren’t exactly build like Adonis, is a massive turnoff. It’s fine to not be attracted to someone, but you don’t need to be a dick about it. I’d be forever assuming that he was only interested in me for the shape of my body, and not for any actual meaningful reasons.

That whole post was annoying, assuming it’s even true. I mean, the (ex?)gf doesn’t have the right to destroy his property so I’m not going to defend her, but he doesn’t sound like a very mature individual either if he “ignored” (his words) her texts because he had a “tough shift at work” ... sometimes being an adult in a relationship means you have to communicate and use your words even when you’ve had a hard day and don’t feel like it. It takes 10 seconds to text her back and say, “sorry, I’ve …

“I was nice to her and listened to her and supported her, how dare she think it was adequate for her to only do the same for me and not give me sex!” As if being friends with a women is some awful chore that makes them entitled to whatever they want in return.

Seriously? That sounds like something a horny middle schooler would come up with!

I once went on a date with a guy who had “minimal drama and poor life choices” in his OLD profile (yeah, I realize that was a poor life choice in and of itself...) It was a coffee date, of course. And he spent a large portion of it complaining about how most women were fatter than they looked in their profiles (but I wasn’t! What a compliment!!) and how hard it was to find women without kids and how he didn’t want to have to deal with their “baggage and poor life choices.” That was a hard no. An…

My ex used to do this. I’d go out for a hike or to the gym or something and he’d stay home and play video games. I didn’t really mind that part, although it would’ve been nice if he came with me more often (and I definitely could’ve done without him grilling me about whether anyone was “checking me out” when I got home). But it did bother me when I’d finally get some time alone with him and he’d proceed to straight-up ignore me and play one of his shooter games for hours instead. And god forbid …

It’s not something I’m really into anymore, but ironically the couple FWB that I’ve had in the past have overall treated me with more respect than ones I tried for a relationship with. They were at least honest about their intentions, and less judgmental, and allowed me to have boundaries. My last ex, on the other hand ...

I agree. And the honest truth is, the majority of us were never as gorgeous as these 2 at any age, no matter how much we stay in shape, go to the gym, take care of our skin, and get our hair done. They’re also just genetically blessed. Which doesn’t mean “the wall” is real, or that older men chasing 20-year-olds because they think every woman over 30 is old and used up isn’t gross.

If a woman is truly curious about trying it, or has done it and knows she enjoys it, no judgment from me. Do what you like. But for men it’s all about power ... having more control over a woman’s body, and taking her “virginity” in a way. That mentality is so gross, and that’s why so many men want you to do it ... not because it’s pleasurable for the woman.

Or worse yet, the “apology” that blames you for their behavior ... for example “I’m sorry I said those things to you, but you were causing drama for no reason.” (Usually said after they reacted poorly to you rightfully calling them out on their bullshit)

My ex developed an obsession with that line of questioning a year into our relationship. And when I told him I didn’t want to discuss exact names/dates/sex acts, he took it upon himself to accuse me of cheating and start contacting my male acquaintances and asking them if they’d fucked me. That’s why I’ve been single since him and i am in no hurry to change that.

Absolutely ... the fact that I’m still attracted to men is proof that sexuality isn’t a choice

You know what else has a “weird desperation that feels cringe”? 50-year-old creepers that chase 20-something women.

A lot of women don’t want to date a man who’s really short, that’s true. But 5’10” isn’t really short. While some women may prefer a man taller than that, if a 5’10” man is really having that much trouble getting female attention, it’s probably something other than his height that is turning women off.

It’s entirely possible, although I never found out for sure if he cheated. Nothing on his part would surprise me at this point. I’m sorry that creep did that to you. Some men really are 100% awful. And they refuse to take responsibility for their own actions.

It’s gross. My narcissist ex developed a sudden obsession with needing to know not just how many, but every detail of those encounters (name, dates, circumstances, where we met, specific things we did in bed, etc). And there’s no “good” answer, other than maybe being a virgin.

Yeah. I did with my ex, because I was super into him, thought he was the one, and frankly I was stupid. He never suggested we use a condom (I wouldn’t have asked him not to, had he wanted to), and I was on birth control. Later, when he was falsely accusing me of cheating when I’d been 100% faithful to him, he threw that back at me, saying “and I know you don’t use condoms!” as though that decision had somehow been mine and mine alone. And then he told me how he “knew it was suspicious” that I’d …

And then they insist that the reason they can’t get laid is because they’re “only” 5’10” or have the wrong eye shape ... not the fact that their personality is shit and they rarely bathe.

My relationship with my ex was so amazing at first ... I was certain I’d found “the one,” he was super supportive and caring toward me and seemed, unlike most other men I’d dated, to be into my personality moreso than just trying to find an adequately attractive person to fill the vacant “girlfriend” role. It was almost a year into the relationship he began suddenly demanding to know names, dates, and specific sexual acts performed with every person I’d slept with before we started dating in our…

Must be between 18 and 24. Of course. So gross. (And now that I’m in my mid 30s, naturally I mostly attract the attention of the AARP set)

My ex got mad at me because I “wasn’t jealous enough” and used that as “evidence” I was cheating on him. (Spoiler alert: I wasn’t)

I do personally like animals myself, but I don’t think that not being a big “pet person” necessarily means that someone is a bad person (unless they actively hurt animals, which is totally different from just not really wanting them in your house). And as much as I love my dog, I think the modern “fur baby”culture is a bit much.

Yes, they want to “carry on their legacy” and get to have a son (not a daughter) to take to sporting events, but they don’t actually want any of the day to day slog of raising a kid, either.

It really is awful. The “good” ones are so cliche it’s laughable ... decent job listed, reasonably attractive, picture in a foreign country, picture wearing a suit as a groomsman in a wedding, casually dressed picture holding a craft beer at a hipster bar. And it’s only downhill from there ... the ones with pictures cheek to cheek with an attractive woman, the ones that consist of nothing but a blurry mirror selfie where you can’t see his face, the ones with the angry bio about how women are was…
