It definitely is. That and the pictures taken at the "instagram bars". 😂

Having a good personality. Someone who can talk a lot about topics other than the basics. Someone who does things unique and interesting or has a deeper engagement on them. Someone who doesn't follow a pattern that seems driven by what everyone else is doing. Independence. Having a hobby beside what looks good on Instagram is a good start. Travel for cultural enrichment rather than as a checklist and for the "popular photos". I just run into a lot of people whose lives are very simple, and that'…

Body positivity doesn't apply to men and never has. I agree with the movement, but I find it to be hypocritical at this point.

I just think people in general think they're more interesting than they actually are. That goes for men and women. As a dude I got super tired of the copy paste lifestyles reflected on OLD. You can only see so many standup paddleboard selfies before you want to scream 😂

To be fair, I see a lot of underwhelming women in the dating sphere too. Brunch and hiking isn't a personality just like video games aren't. But there's a cultural bias that one dimensionality is ok as long as you go outside. Also some of this comes off as wanting to be wined and dined or expecting men to plan all the dates which I see often as well. Women get a pass for this. There's just a lot of boring people in general.

Yes, but this has to be a two way street. Totally agree if there's consistency

Perhaps. But as always, gym bros seem to live in the gym and don't really have interests or personality outside that. Women or men who like men who want shredded dudes hopefully understand that often they're going to have to make sacrifices to be with someone like that. On the flipside, I think shredded women are really fucking hot but I also know we'd probably make terrible partners as I'm not a gym rat myself and I figure most want to be with other gym rats. So I don't even really pursue those…

I'm childfree so it makes sense to me that people put themselves and their kids first. Nothing wrong with that. I just know it means we're incompatible for anything more than casual. There's just not enough left in the tank for what I expect from a rewarding long term relationship. And there are plenty of women who don't have kids so it's not like I have no other options. I just think single parents tend to work best with other single parents for long term relationships. It just seems to work be…

As a casual/FWB thing, sure. But for a committed relationship? Probably not. I have no desire to be a parent myself and I feel like it's naive to say that you can be serious and committed to a single parent without taking on some parental duties yourself or having extra work in the relationship to deal with kid challenges. Plus I feel like affections are always divided - "my kids come first". Of course they do, and they should. And I don't want to be second, third, or fourth place when they'd be…

To me, the n count stuff and double standards are irrelevant. I'm only willing to commit to someone I have sexual compatibility with. There's only one way to find that out. Not saying we have to fuck on the first date of course, gotta decide if we like each other that way first, but I'm moving on if there's no physicality, because that's super important to me and a big part of building intimacy.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
