Women getting the shitty end of the stick? Women (well, good looking, fertile ones at least) have always had lots of power to pick and choose their mates. Whereas men had to compete to be the Alpha male to get any female attention at all.

That isn't "subtle sexism" that is reality. Women are more likely to be nurses than are men, so it is a fair assumption that a patient is going to come across a lot more female nurses than male ones.

The problem with equal rights is that it was never balanced with equal responsibilities. Indeed, we always hear about "women's rights" but never about "women's responsibilities", and people who talk about "men's rights" must be "bitter" or "wimpy" since the only acceptable thing to say about men these days is that "men are not living up to their responsibilities".
