Maybe that's where we don't see eye to eye. I know I don't, and I feel like most men who brows this sub don't oppose the feminist movement as long as they are moving toward equality. This article doesn't do anything for equality. Rather it aids to pit men vs. women in the name of sexism. A better way to address the situation would be to deal with both sides of the situation, as it would be much more likely to get a fallowing of both men and women standing up for equality.

Exactly! In order to balance an equation you must address both sides of the problem. Articles like this scream for equality and then bring half the story to the table, intentionally or non intentionally villainizing the other side.

I agree with you on one point; this isn't a competition. I'm for equality of the sexes and am no more of a fan that some women in other parts of the world than where I live are denied education and are treated as sub human than you are. But that specific case your referring too has cultural and religious undertones, making it a very different argument. Happy to answer, I got "men need to grow up" "Men need to cheat" "Men cannot be trusted" and "Men should pay for dates". Also, its not about which is more offensive. That's childish. I guess I look at it more like this. At least where I am, when a larger man is seen with a fit attractive woman, I often hear that she could do better or he must have money, all in all something negative toward the man. Reverse that, and the reactions heard change to: good for her, shes beautiful the way she is, or hes so great for seeing past beauty that's just skin deep. Hence my title of "double standard".
