I'm a 48M and personally I couldn't stand to be in a relationship with any one under probably 35, that's not a rule I would judge others by. If, however, one party is under about 25 and the other is substantially older (maybe 40+) then I would find it pretty gross, as one of those is well into adulthood while the other is basically still a child.

My ex was 4'11" and someone a foot smaller than you wearing nothing but one of your dress shirts is hot as fuck.

Worked for me (M47) twice. Met both my ex (together 5 years, I have no regrets, we just didn't work) and my current partner (1 year thus far, she is fantastic) when I wasn't trying to find anyone and was getting used to being alone.

"Reward" and "her pleasure" are not mutually exclusive. You can have sex that both of you enjoy that consists of individual acts that only one of you does (or that you both do to very different degrees). Enjoying something someone else doesn't isn't an indicator that you don't care about their pleasure, it just means that you care about yours mine, TOO. And it's perfectly normal to do things you don't enjoy for the benefit of other people. This is obvious for things that aren't sex, but is just …

Not really, but even if it did, sometimes you have to do hard things to get what you want.

So if you ever think you want to be with a friend in a romantic context, but cannot, you choose "nothing" over "remain friends?" I mean, that's fine, just seems unusual.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/22 07:16 PM

If they don't want that then "romantically" isn't an option. You can have "friend zone" or "somebody I used to know."
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/22 11:55 AM

If you want to be friends with someone then the friend zone is literally exactly what you want.

If the girl is just being friendly and you take it as her being interested in you she may stop being your friend ...if you do some asshole something that makes her want to. Try, you know, communicating with your friend about things.

Women have become obsessed with the idea they need to get fucked with every size dick, by every type of men in order to ‘find out what they like. Jesus Christ. Turn off the Internet for a while and interact with human beings in the real world. This is absolutely not a thing that "women have become obsessed with."

As someone who basically ONLY has brains working in his favor I hard disagree. Intelligence increases your chances of being/staying married, so I could definitely see why it would be associated with fewer partners. My parents are both intelligent people and, AFAIK, only ever had sex with each other since 1971.

All of those things are used to form an opinion of "attractive." Plenty of mediocre people look fantastic when they put themselves together for something formal and plenty of beautiful people look average when they're full-on casual. Hell, even slouching can make you uglier. "Attractive" is much, much more than "the shape of your face."
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/22 06:42 PM

There are plenty of people who are ugly for reasons that aren't genetic. Drugs, obesity, jewelry/tattoos, hairstyle, clothing, etc. all combine to make you look better/worse, it's not just the shape of your face.

This study is about the United States, where it is legal.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/22 03:12 AM

No, that study says that 1.6% of men age 15-19 are fathers. If you thought a study said 25% of men under age 18 were fathers, your reaction would be to believe that number and reference it as if it were something that was remotely believable?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/22 03:09 AM

How are you people having a serious discussion where you think 20% of men under age 18 are fathers? What world do you live in where you see yourself type that and think "That seems reasonable, it's probably correct?" I'm not even trying to be hateful, I am genuinely astounded. That would be like someone saying "a million people were murdered last year in the US" and everybody going along with it like that's something they could believe was true.

I am lucky to have good friends of any gender. When I was married our social life revolved around old friends (mixed genders), my work friends (pretty much all male, but mostly married so wives came along) and kids' friends' parents, so there was never really a lack of women to engage with.

It's important to remember that Reddit, especially subs dedicated to relationship problems, don't come remotely close to reflecting the reality of most of the world. "Men who want to date them" is probably being generous for the kind of dudes who would hit on participants in a women's support group. "Men who want to fuck them" is likely more accurate. You could make the same complaint about being a man on most sites that have anything to do with sex. "What do you mean you can't find anybody, you got 20 messages in your inbox?" This whole situation is super fucked up, but it was a false identification, not a false rape claim. That woman was actually assaulted and raped, she just identified the wrong man as the assailant.

In modern US society, women who are perceived as promiscuous people are values less in non-sexual contexts because of it. Slut shaming isn't about who gets invited to parties, it's about who gets married or hired or promoted.

I think people are very widely overestimating it, especially if you're talking about people communicating online. It's still a fairly small fraction of the population, but if you get your news from Reddit you would think it's a quarter of the population.

No, I said that the average age at which people lose their virginity has been moving up and the rate at which young people (he was talking about 13 year olds) were having sex has been moving down. Neither of those are contrary to "Most people have lost their virginity by age 18."

That may be true, it "women you know" isn't a very good sample of "all women," as it obviously is really far from random. It's like how both sides are surprised when an election is close because "like everybody I know voted for (my candidate)."

I live in Louisiana and it's nothing like you people are making it out to be. Of course if you live in a town of 500 people your dating prospects are limited, your EVERYTHING prospects are limited. İn a global economy democracy's don't really work all that well. Except for the fact that, with few exceptions, all of the countries with the strongest economiessort by GDP per capita are democracies. China has no leverage over anyone that they don't also have over it. It is a large, but poor, country that only has what it has because other nations are willing to trade with it.

That is a condition of bond, not a sentence for a crime. The case is still active, the appellate court just dismissed her attempt to have the charges reduced last year and her trial is scheduled for October.

OP's website is for the Las Vegas Justice Court, the equivalent of "city court" in most places, where small crimes such as traffic citations are adjudicated and felonies are passed on to district court. If she was arrested by LVPD she would have been processed by that court and then handed off to the 8th District Court. I don't work in Nevada, so I have no idea if it's normal for a court like that to show felony murder charges as "dismissed" when they are passed on to a higher court, but this ca…

It is still open. I can't link directly to the case within Nevada's 8th District Court website, but: The case is still open All three charges are still there and bond is still in place Trial is set for October Edit: The case number is c-19-340617-1 and the district court website is here in case anyone wants to verify for themselves.

That specific case may have been dismissed, but it does not mean that there weren't others before or that others have been filed. Her case shows "Dismissed" as of 5/30/2019, but in April of 2020 the state appellate court turned down her motion to dismiss, so it was definitely still going on then.
