| 0 | A discussion, not a debate. I recently held back from giving an innocent zero further intent compliment, and thought to myself, well isn’t this ironic.I was 19 and working at a convenience store. The customers were mostly 50+ year old alcoholics who thought asking if the carpet matches the drapes was a good come on. Beyond that, in general it's a bad idea to date anyone who could make your job or career go sideways because you didn't put out when they wanted you to or broke up with them. Or someone you have to see and remain professional with after a breakup or divorce. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/07/19 04:50 AM |

I think my issue was more the idea that the previous poster referred to you as a full grown woman at 15. There's still so much more growing to do at that age, expecting teenage girls to handle men 20 or 40 years their senior coming on to them shouldn't be the norm. I have 14 and 16 yo girls, and I know they aren't ready to be in that position. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/07/19 11:31 PM |

Nah, I think anyone with a reason to respect themselves is going to dislike inappropriate and aggressive come ons in their place of employment. Outside of work I was happily interacting with people my own age, I didn't need that bullshit. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/07/19 08:59 PM |

I worked cash registers in college, and the comments men felt justified in making where ridiculous. At 19 I had 50 year old strangers walk up to me just trying to do my shitty low paid job and ask me of the carpet matched the drapes (they just love asking redheads that for some reason), commenting on my ass, my looks, asking me to run away with them, etc. If you think women in customer service positions haven't heard it all and will be complimented by yet anot… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/07/19 08:40 PM |
