I dated one guy who knew I didn't want kids and he told me I should get pregnant and just give the kid to him. He also told me he'd only take the kid if it was a girl as if I was even entertaining the idea. Another guy told me he had a problem with lying and porn. Somehow, in my mind I rationalized it that he must have gotten help for both. Nope. Still a liar with a horrible porn addiction. He also told me as a young man he'd been in trouble because he hit someone with his car after they had ass…

It clicked for me when I had a bad reaction to a spider bite and ended up in the emergency room. I had been to my primary doctor but it wasn't getting better so I decided I couldn't wait to be seen again. They told me if I had waited any longer to come in it would have potentially been fatal. When I spoke with the lvm I had been seeing for 6 or so months his only response was to tell me 'that sucks' and then ask me about some stats for an online game he insisted we play together even though that…

Yep, he still was. He didn't understand why none of his ex girlfriends would trust him and treated him so horribly. He also didn't like when I'd confront him in a lie. I still don't know what I was thinking.

My ex told me he had trouble with telling the truth... but it's okay because he'd 'worked on it'. By worked on he meant perfect his lying and just never tell the truth about anything. Instead of running from this giant red flag of a revelation I charged head first toward it despite knowing better. Luckily I sorted myself out not long into the relationship and just left.

This reminds me of a man I was talking to before deciding if we were both interested in a date. He brought up age of consent laws and how anything over 16 is just ridiculous that they're women then and should be able to date whoever they want. He then went on to tell me about a 16 year old girl he worked with and how if the laws were different he'd be dating her because she's beautiful but also 'so mature.' She was a literal child and he is disgusting. That was the first and last time we spoke.

I'm interested in a code if you still have some.

This is fantastic and her voice is beautiful. I'm going to have this song in my head on repeat.

Jokes on him because I don't want a chance to date him or a guy like him.

And these are just a few of the reasons that I am happily single. I don't want to have to be a maid for some guy who can't/won't clean and cook. I don't want to feel like their mother who has to take care of every little thing in their lives because they act like children. And I certainly don't want them using my body while it does nothing for me. I'm more thankful everyday that I am single.

That quote really is an eye-opening check for me.

This resonates so much with me lately. I have been working hard to make sure that I am choosing me.

I will never understand how men watching their own children is seen as going above and beyond what they should be doing.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
