Friend of mine calls this the bullshit distortion field. Some individuals are surrounded by people that are constantly complementing them or kissing their ass; never getting called out on their bullshit. It makes them lose track of reality and skews their views towards many topics. It's a little hard to blame them because they're not living in the same reality that most of us are living in.

I wonder if the result of this jury verdict will affect her interim status as Reddit's CEO.

Sorry, but you're title is completely wrong. You tried to enlighten a friend and he was so unable to comprehend, he freaked the fuck out and terminated a friendship on the spot. Once you get over the initial shock of lost friendship, you'll evaluate this relationship with less emotion. Then you'll be glad you're not wasting any more time with him.

Wish it didn't work that way but I'm grateful for the breakdown. More males should know this.

White knights operate with very low morals and the amazing thing is that the view themselves as morally superior to those they betray. Thanks for sharing this story because I do feel that too many men just naturally feel they can trust their fellow man. Unfortunately, this was a lesson I didn't learn until after I was backstabbed. NEVER keep these type of betrayers in your social circle.

thanks for the heads up. Before your post, I believed this test was only possible after the child was born.

She ended up hearing it from a friend? Perhaps the reason her boyfriend gave her directly is the truth. He doesn't think they are compatible in the long-run

That's a very interesting. I'll do some random Googling to learn more about this topic. Do you happen to remember the name of this particular video?

Nice comparisons/presentation. Didn't connect these dots initially but it really "clicks" now.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. I have been pondering this concept myself and just wanted to speak/hear from someone who has pulled it off successfully.

Actually, I admire her honestly. Her friend is willingly following along, and would probably consider it a win if he wound up marrying her after years of this crap.

Well put. Wish I had received this advice when I was much younger.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
