3	Male Privilege Is a Myth I think a good start would be to take out any gendered language involved in any of the harmful practices both movements are criticising. Using stuff like "mansplaining" for example just feels like a way to invalidate, or trivialise the same circumstance happening to a man. Blaming it on "the patriarchy" without adequate context can just lead to the idea that the problem is that men are in power, instead of putting the blame on what the people in power are doing. 1	When someone brings up no recognition of international mens day they got siwnvoted into oblivion. Equality? bringing it up on or in the context of International Women's Day is a bad idea because you'll just be accused of trying to hijack or take away from it. It's frustrating really, because I think people only really bring it up because of that day reminding them of how little support or recognition Men's days get.
