I’m not stopping him from initiating and I don’t turn him down, so you figure it out.

You’re clearly missing the part where he cheated on me, or clearly that’s apparently acceptable to you so I’ll add more context to that: I have always been someone who has worked out and that was how I managed my weight. When I was with him, he would go into rages if I wanted to work out and instead insisted that I starve myself. That, and he only wanted me to make food that he liked. I literally have a disease that lowers my metabolism and I hadn’t been diagnosed at the time, so I would have to…

This. And even if someone has “game” it’s still a numbers game because not everyone is going to be attracted to you or compatible with you.

Damn, this is probably the most accurate post I’ve ever read describing Reddit. I think there are some normal and attractive people on Reddit but they’re drowned out by bots (which is a huge Reddit problem) and dweebs who have little to no experience in what they’re even discussing. And forget being even slightly right leaning or having any conservative opinions, you might as well be Hitler at that point. And people stick so hard to their biases and personal opinions on Reddit too. I had a guy s…

I think your comment is right. And a lot of these fringe people insist that their way of life is the “norm” when it isn’t. I think women are looking for validation on this sub as well. There was a post on this sub the other day from a 22 y.o. woman bragging about her high libido and asking men what they’re going to do when they wind up in dead bedrooms (which, she assumed that most would). Another user pointed out that she’s really young and she could change a lot in a few years especially if sh…

Which is why I didn’t assume OPs responsibilities. Maybe she is an outlier and not a typical 22 year old with a low amount of responsibilities, we just don’t know.

I didn’t make any assumptions here? I’m not sure where you got that from me sharing my own personal experience. Stress lowers most people’s libidos, that’s why so many people are bringing it up on this post. Also, obligations are a completely valid point when talking about people’s ability and desire to have sex. I’m not assuming anyone’s obligations just by wondering what her obligations may be. Most people with a lot of free time and a low stress life would probably have a higher libido than s…

I really don’t see men getting hurt over being rejected though. It’s usually trans activists and fat activists complaining and trying to convince everyone that their preferences are “fatphobic, transphobic, and racist” if they’re not included in them. They see working on convincing people to be attracted to them as a part of “activism” now. To me, it doesn’t make sense. Why in the fuck would I care about convincing people to be attracted to me? There’s always going to be people attracted to you …

I think those calculators are not accurate. I’d really like to know where it’s getting it’s supposed data from. Most men in developed countries meet at least 2/3 of those standards. That’s almost the average dude in some regards (assuming he’s not working part-time). And although there’s not as many Asians in the US/UK/Europe as some other places, the woman you described shouldn’t be that rare. I think you should focus on yourself and hobbies and not worry about using fake calculators to predict…

I think most men are just misguided and not actual creeps. If anything, I should be jaded because I have literally dated multiple bipolar people and have had some bad dating experiences with people who had horrible intentions with me. I have also experienced SA. But I think those men in general make up less than 10% of the population on average. People tend to think it’s higher because of awkward guys saying/doing awkward things in women’s presence or because men who are predators are pretty goo…

Thank you. It’s Hypothyroidism that’s treated now, but before I became medicated for it my face used to be puffier and it helped it de-puff for sure on top of the weight loss.

I wouldn’t exactly call survival so much a “want” as a “need”.

I used to be a frequent poster on that sub when I was with my ex. I couldn’t get him to have sex with me more than once a month, at most. I suffered like this for a long time before I found out he was cheating on me and I finally left. He ended really regretting what he did to me and has not been in a relationship since. He also developed a clear eating disorder. It didn’t help that I lost a bunch of weight and got a medical condition that affected my looks diagnosed so I ended up becoming a lot…

This! When I was in my early twenties, I could literally have sex every day, multiple times a day. I’m in my early thirties now, on birth control and my bf and I maybe have sex 1-2 a week and we’re fine with that. We both work full-time and have somewhat stressful jobs. I have an investment property and we’re looking to buy another house atm. A lot of our time is eaten up by our obligations. I’m not sure of OPs work or school situation but I know it’s a lot easier to do pleasurable activities in…

This post is making an assumption based on stereotypes. Even though the dead bedroom sub is mostly men, that doesn’t mean it represents a large portion of the population accurately. And why wouldn’t married men be able to share their experience with the question you asked? That doesn’t make any sense. It seems like you want men to expect the worst for their marriages or to not want to get married at all. If anything, men in marriages should be encouraged to answer so they can share what it’s act…

I think some people think of it that way, not saying I personally think of that as respect myself.

I think the passport bros can honestly go either way. Some are just looking to exploit girls from other countries but I think some are trying to find a woman with old-fashioned values that are not as common in the US anymore. I also think there is a genuine attraction between people who are different from us, for most people. I have been in a lot of interracial relationships and I have always found people who look completely different form me to be hot.

I’d imagine that attraction can be seen as a form of respect to some people, and I’d picture that in a relationship where the woman is only with the man for his money, the respect that is lacking comes from being admired by other men. The status is replacing that element I guess. I don’t think I could be with someone who doesn’t find me attractive either (unless we’re both ancient lol). I have tried to date guys I wasn’t really attracted to because they were good people, but it just didn’t work.…

I don’t think most women think about men’s plight as a whole very often, because we got our own problems. Also, the YouTube channel “think before you sleep” makes the point that if you’re a woman, any dating advice you give a man wouldn’t be as effective as from another man because you’re not used to attracting women. I think this is only partially true. As a woman, I can tell you things I have observed that women I have known have generally liked/disliked or what I like or don’t like, but that’…

My bipolar ex husband did that to me and at first I had no idea why all his friends hated me. Turned out he had been cheating on me the whole time too. Nobody believed me when I told them everything he said wasn’t true. Funny story, we I finally did leave him, his new gf cheated on him and lied about it, which caused all the same people to abandon them as friends. He talked mad shit about that girl before they dated too😂 Kind of karma, but I didn’t care at that point.

My boyfriend grew up with a less than ideal childhood and still grew up to be a great man. I think you shouldn’t put too much stock into that tip, people can overcome their bad childhoods

But then again, we are speaking of people who are not right in the head to begin with. Usually after a failed attempt it will make them noticeable enough for someone to give them help. If you are successful on the first attempt, which men often are, there is no room for that to happen. Biological differences cause men and women to choose different routes for suicide and men tend to choose more effective measures.

Wow, you sure made yourself out to be the hero in this story. You also mentioned you have aspergers which, makes you perceive social interactions in a skewed manner. Borderline is different than aspergers and tends to be more severe. Just because you work with assholes who don't get your unique struggles but have sympathy for another person doesn't mean it's a good example of how all or even most women are in general.

You are so wrong and delusional I have no idea where to begin. For starters, males are more than 4 times more likely than females to die by suicide but females attempt suicide 3 times as often as males Please, while you're at it share your PhD in behavioral sciences with us since you're clearly an expert.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
