this was gonna be my suggestion. Also. if your area has a "society " magazine, get it. It will talk about things that are going on around town. Charity events. Golf tournament and the like are big. but all sorts of activities, usually of a charitable nature. a lot of these events have mixers or dinners , or outright parties connected. Get involved. was talking to my son about meeting me people the other day. his college/high school crowd is ever declining. marriage, moving away. the like. he does the gym. meat head enviroment. I was suggesting charity events. 5 Ks and the like. we have a local society magazine. told him to buy it and look for events. runs and golf scrambles seem to be big. they all seem to have receptions or some other kind of party attached. or at least the pictures in the magazine suggest it.
