It can’t be the cheat code if, based on your post history, you fight constantly, he dismisses your feelings, wants you to go on a “break” and leaves you feeling lonely and misunderstood. I’m sorry girl, you deserve better. Dating an older guy who is shitty is no better than dating any other guy who is shitty. Unfortunately, there are no cheat codes.

It doesn’t. It’s upsetting to hear that you think women want to be treated like objects (which is the definition of objectification) just because they choose to wear makeup or a flattering dress. You just want an excuse to objectify women and this helps you feel justified in it, I guess.

Of course some women objectify themselves. Some men do too. But that wasn’t the extent of your argument, was it? You went on to say that wearing makeup and trying to appear attractive counts as self-objectification. Which it doesn’t, so you’re the one doing mental gymnastics here.

No, I actually work with large language models, which ChatGPT is. It isn’t a sentient being that “lies” or “tells the truth”, it’s literally a program that recognizes text and knows how to organize it based on the millions of pieces of text that it has processed from the internet. They are known to produce false information all the time. ChatGPT even has a disclaimer that you must’ve missed, that literally says “ChatGPT May produce inaccurate information about people, places, or facts.” If you u…

Lmao if you think chatGPT only writes objective facts you are in for a lot of pain

Stop moving the goal posts. Nobody’s arguing that it’s not a real thing. It’s just not the thing that you think it is, and instead of admitting you used a bad example, you’re doubling down. It’s okay to admit you’re wrong sometimes, try it.

First result of google: Self-objectification is when people view themselves as objects for use instead of as human beings.

I don’t think OP knows the meaning of the word they used, and now they’re in too deep to admit it, so they’re trying to double-down on it unsuccessfully

I love your username! As to your point though, I know far too many dads that cheated on their wives with a younger, childless woman. My own dad included. After my mom married him at 19 and stayed around for 15 years raising us. She stayed thin and beautiful too. Idk, I really want to believe what you’re saying, but all those examples from life make it hard to believe.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 07:16 PM

Well if you have faith, what is there to concern yourself with? You’ll be just fine. Also if you have such a narrow definition of marriage which pretty much only qualifies marriages that are Judeo-Christian and actively place “becoming one with god” at the forefront of the whole ordeal, then by default you’re invalidating all the good, solid marriages out there, including my own, simply because they don’t fall under your definition. That’s your opinion, I guess, but I don’t see my marriage as so…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/23 03:07 PM

But historically, marriage had little to do with love or spirituality. It was a practical union, performed for a multitude of reasons including communal, political, material, and of course, for the creation of offspring. If anything, marriage as we know it today, that includes sentiments of love, devotion, and commitment, has more of that metaphysical flavor you’re searching for than marriages had for the majority of human history. Sure, the Catholic Church started to insert itself into marriage…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/23 02:29 PM

I see. Your views are based on your religious beliefs, which is valid. That being said, you haven’t explained how someone else having a “meaningless and godless” marriage takes away from you and your partner becoming one, committing to each other under god, and having that perfect traditional Christian marriage. If you and your partner share similar values and beliefs, how does some gay couple in SF getting married diminish that? You say it “bleeds over” into heterosexual marriages but that’s no…

Not really. Simply allowing marriage rights to other people doesn’t take away anything from people who still want traditional marriages. I am very pro letting my gay friends have the right to marry, while I myself am in a “traditional” marriage, plan to have kids, stay home with them, etc. I dont view it as a civil union with no expectations, and neither do lgbt people. Like, they are just as committed to each other and many want to a adopt kids and have families. Obviously there are exceptions …

I am a little confused because I don’t see the “disconnect” between liberal men wanting traditional marriages. Like, liberal politics aren’t against marriage. If anything, a lot of liberals/leftists want more socialist programs and things like UBI or a higher minimum wage, that would make single-income families a thing again, making a traditional marriage with a stay at home parent possible. And I’ve never met a feminist that liked dating bootstrap conservatives. In another comment you mentioned…

You’re the one doing all the imagining here. I never even mentioned feminism, activism, gossiping, bullying, or even posting on those pages. That was all you, baby.

I’m sure the women whose bfs/baby daddies get posted there find it eye-opening and beneficial. The rest of us are lurking there for entertainment, yes. Women are not a monolith, shocking, I know.

Causing drama? I don’t post or interact, so I don’t see how I can cause drama there. Intentionally reading about drama? Yes, I do that. You should see my bookshelf. Don’t pretend you’re here to bring the genders back closer instead of engaging in useless fights 😂 your comment history begs to differ.

Well, I know this is off topic but i hope you can surround yourself with friends/support that you feel comfortable speaking to irl. The support of a real friend means a lot. That being said, if the interactive diary works for you, then that’s great too!

Yes, being addicted to drama is a red flag. Joining local Facebook pages because they are entertaining is hardly being addicted to drama, but maybe that’s just me.

I would say they’re the bottom of the bottom in my area. Guys with no teeth and scraggly goatees, beer guts, and dirt under their fingernails. No clue why those women fall for them, but the ladies are not the cream of the crop either! It’s a whole different world out there. That’s why it’s so hard to look away, and why these pages have become such a phenomenon.

Of course not, why would I do that? Plenty of guys and gals on there ruining their own reputations.

Boundaries can be discussed without being controlling. When discussing boundaries you aren’t asking someone to change or telling them how they “should” behave, simply telling them what you do or don’t find personally acceptable to you. It is then up to your partner to decide how to respond to your boundary. It values don’t align, you’re simply incompatible.

A boundary is where you choose to be in control of yourself: “I will not date a partner who dresses in revealing clothes” It’s something you decide for yourself and stick to. Controlling is when you try to control the behavior of another person: “you have to change the way you dress” Do you see the difference? You have the right to establish and stick to any boundary you want. You don’t have the right to control what others do.

Actually it’s because men view women who have more sex as of lower value, whereas men who have more sex are not viewed that way by either gender. There is a certain imbalance that results in casual sex being something that “takes away” from the woman. It fucks her over, in a way. If this attitude didn’t exist (and it mainly exists in this sub as well as other redpill/blackpill/manosphere communities), casual sex would be viewed as a neutral, if not mutually beneficial activity. Until then, there…

“Would you consider it controlling if you told a guy you were interested in getting to know them first and they ignored it and continued to ask when you were going to meet up?” So exactly what you did?

Why are we comparing apples and oranges? If someone is looking for a one night stand they’d probably pick the hotter person. The reality is that there are usually more than 2 options at a bar though. It’s not just ugly young guys vs 45 year old hunks. The truth is, for a woman in her 20s, a younger guy who is somewhat fit and clean and has charisma will always win over a try-hard 50 year old.
