image is from yourscenesucks.com, apparently all MRAs also play in the horn section of their local ska band.

Yes, a man trying to win a race is trying to increase the esteem he receives...That he is not ONLY trying to pick up chicks does not alter this fact.

This is straight fucking stupid - you're suggesting that success is entirely relative and that there's no reason a competitive athlete perfects his craft other than to get trim. I guess that's a pretty easy argument to justify to yourself from the sidelines, but it's kind of belittling to those who are really seeking to test and move the upper limit of their own potential.

I don't know about you guys, but whenever I need to get off I just flip to a random page of American Psycho. It's got everything - oppressing the poor and downtrodden, violent homophobia, racism, and of course rape and murder. Does that answer Vachette's question?

Somebody explained this a while back in the context of social media/online services, but basically the gist of it was, "if you're not paying for something that you're using, it's because you're actually the product." Nightclubs, bars, and fraternity parties all do this - women are let in for free, since having a lot of them in your "establishment" attracts a lot of guys. Charge the guys, that's your source of revenue for the night. This is especially pronounced in nightclubs - any male with two …

If I were in a position of leadership at one of the colleges, I would just have all the students read Starship Troopers, where they could learn about how democracy made the citizenry of the free world soft and complacent, and the only way to save them was through a transition to a system of quasi-fascism. Now fucking get back to work.

Worry not, friend, this is just a modified version of a very-well known copypasta. The post was obviously intended to be tongue-in-cheek. Edit: went to qwestionseverything's user page, is indeed an SRSer. My bad. No wonder it wasn't funny.

You see this kind of ranking hierarchy in how SRS chooses to be offended about something. "Shitlord" says something that is marginally distasteful about women, they flip a shit that he's a misogynist pig. Then a muslim girl is brutally murdered in an honor killing for "immoral behavior" and "Shitlord" expresses outrage at the girl's death, SRS will brand him as "Islamophobic." Wherever they perceive some violation of their moral narrative in a statement, they'll attack it, even if the proximate …

I mean, I have a lot to say about this piece (of digital dogshit), but I'm inclined to believe that the audience here would probably agree with what I'd have to say, so no need. But one thing: the largest single Muslim population in the world exists in Indonesia (I'm going to assume the "author" believes it's in the middle east somewhere). And if we're going to start delving into the muddy waters of race, Arabs are considered to be white/Caucasian by the US census, and many Persians self-identif…

I would like to share a similar story I had: I was at a campus bar enjoying some time with my buddies in my program, and due to a diet heavily supplemented by protein shakes, nature will often call at inopportune times. This was one of those times. There's a line out the door to the women's room and guys had to wait for a few moments to either use the urinal or the lone stall. I proudly announce that nature was calling and I'd be appropriating the stall, to which my fellow bathroom users commend…

I was subscribed to the sub when the "r/LGBT Spring" began against the mods, but it basically started out as some mods (I don't really remember handles, this is all thoroughly documented in r/SubredditDrama) began to heavily moderate posts by LGBTQ allies (as which I identify). The posts in question were mostly questions or points of edification, but on the basis that they were straight cis-people, they were considered incapable of being sympathetic, and were often accused of being inherently in…

Man, they hate even gay cis men. As far as I can tell, they hate cis-people in general.

I would love to have a smaller version of me I could teach the way the world works to. There is nothing that guarantees that your son would be anything like you - with respect to temperament, interests, intellectual abilities. You'd just as likely have a daughter who takes tremendous interest in all the things you do and looks up to you as her go-to role-model. Did you not read the article? When she says "They are individuals, not merely genders," she is trying to dismiss this type of thinking. …

SRS isn't countering anything - all they do is take (typically) harmless quotes and comments completely out of context, and use them as an opportunity to make fun of the "misogynist, racist, homophobic bros" of Reddit. Never is there outreach, never is there an attempt at dialogue with the rest of the Reddit community, never do they wish to discuss anything that challenges their narrow narrative. It is not a group that seeks to undertake great social change, it's just a group of predominantly wh…
