Respect is a big one & making the relationship a priority. Too often you see couples that have been together for a long time put the kids or work first. Sex falls to the bottom of the TO DO list. You've got to keep tending to that spark. They often stop treating each other with basic respect too (making jokes at the other's expense, being flat out rude). I see people all the time be super nice to a checkout counter girl or server & then snap at the person they supposedly love most in the world. …

I love his voice too. Wish he'd narrate audiobooks.

The positive effects on your brain, stronger muscles & bones as you age, improving mood/depression by increasing serotonin receptors in your brain...so many health benefits. Just starting with bodyweight exercises like squats, push-ups & tricep dips will make a difference!

I think people try to coerce others into following the same path they did just to justify their own (often bad) choices. If you're happy on your own & living a simple life or traveling or whatever you CHOOSE to do with your freedom, it brings up questions they'd rather not look back on. Same reason so many parents pressure their kids into getting saddled with a huge mortgage. It's bizarre. We're actively rooting for our kids to become good consumers rather than good people living meaningful live…

That's horrific. I'm so sorry you went through that. Glad you were able to escape.

Those home shows are toxic. All they do is convince otherwise happy people that they are somehow missing out. Same with women's magazines. Would love to see a statistical analysis of the percentage of Cosmo subscribers who are also on antidepressants.

Having sex less than once a month seems pretty depressing if it's not some kind of long distance relationship, military etc. At that point, you're really just roommates raising kids together. I do think the article is right about making sex a priority. It's easy to let other things fill up your time, but if you want to maintain any kind of connection...the dishes can wait.

I wondered about that. Seems like it's almost stage make-up. Designed for posting on Instagram or making YouTube videos, but not for everyday life.

Yeah the idea that people are opting out of a "keeping up with the Joneses" rat race seems like progress to me. Men are still ambitious - they are just realizing maybe their version of success & happiness looks different than their father's version. Lots of people in the minimalism/tiny house movement seem incredibly ambitious when it comes to quality of life.

Unless you have a really strong burning desire to have children, there's no reason to at this point. The planet doesn't need any more people & there's zero guarantee that they'll be anything but a burden your whole life. They will more than likely move away, may have their own health or financial issues, could die before you or you may simply not get along. Sure, everybody loves their kids, but that doesn't mean they genuinely like spending time with all of them. Calling bullshit on this for bot…

The targeting with radiation is dialed in to such a tiny area too. They're not blasting your whole body.

OP doesn't sound familiar with the embalming process, which begins by draining the body of all that "dangerous" heroin junkie blood. I'm assuming most junkies aren't getting expensive burials in graveyards anyway. I'd be more concerned with the risk of transfer of powerful drugs like Fentanyl from city sidewalks.

Brutal. I feel horrible for the guy & his grandparents. I'm sure they're tired of court & just want to move on, but they could sue for legal costs & lost wages. That judgement would keep her future wages garnished for years. She should also be held responsible for filing false police reports & wasting so much time for police & the courts. Can't believe they only gave her 1 year!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
