“Caring is a feminine trait” ? What? If I heard a guy say this, I would run for the hills.

Not at all. The child is the stage after the baby’s development… after birth. Embryo refers to the earliest stage of fetal development.

It’s not a child.. It’s an embryo.

Yeah sorry this article makes no sense. It says decline in sexual desire is not due to childbirth yet the sentence after it says becoming a parent resulted in a steeper decline of sexual desire. You can read everywhere that so many times wives end up doing most of the childcare that causes them to be way more stressed and simply “touched out.” There are also SO many more factors at play here, like medication killing your libido or simply being exhausted. Marriage isn’t a death sentence for being…

I (and a lot of women around me) am not a fan of a ton of screen time. What’s attractive in a guy is getting out in the world and doing things. Traveling, being active, being in nature, etc. Not every minute of every day… but girls like guys who actually do things. Just thought I’d throw that out there

No IRL friends would definitely be a red flag. It just shows you’re not very social. A lot of women equate being social to being exciting

Same. Only people that I felt connected with.

So one thing I can add to this point from a women’s perspective is that if a friend makes a bunch of comments on almost all my photos, there is an inner pressure to show back some love. I will not straight up lie but I could see that sort of pressure taken up a notch to guess what’s going on

As a woman, I generally agree with this. Makeup is a great example. If a girl pulls off some great eyeshadow (blended well with color that compliments both her outfit and her skin tone) I will definitely leave a comment that says “beautiful.” I know other girls that will completely judge if she will be friends with another girl based on how good her eyebrows look. It’s weird but 🤷‍♀️

Of course but it’s overly judgmental when you think other people should change b/c of your opinions
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/22 05:12 PM
1

But maybe that’s comfortable to them? Frankly, it’s not any of your business. It’s overly conservative and unnecessary to be so judgmental of what other women wear.

This comment is so problematic. First off, you don’t need to include that on your resume. Most of these girls intentionally change their identity and do not use their real name. Many of them even use a different IP address. Sure, some guys can still find them, but employers are not digging this deep. Also, you don’t need something to be “widely accepted.” Professions care about if you’ve done things that are illegal or being financially responsible. Go look up their policies. And finally, choosi…

This is what confuses me. I (F) have friendships with guys and we absolutely both help each other. I would even say that I’ve helped my guy friends more than they helped me (letting them stay in my spare room, pay for things we do sometimes, supporting them in really tough goals). Is this really against the norm? A friendship should always have two sides pulling some weight no matter what the genders are.

Because you essentially just end up dating yourself. There are women on there who are in good shape and have a good attitude and have still gotten burned and abused in the past. They get themselves an engagement ring and valentines presents

You can still have a fulfilling life without a partner. That’s part of the whole idea of FDS. That no man is better than a shitty man.

What would you say then to the classes that aren’t core classes (math, science, lit etc)? Classes like art and music and choosing what language to take? Or making sure younger kids have recess? And in terms of rewarding excellence, what about all the science and art competitions, scholarship opportunities, sports competitions and academic awards in general? As far as appealing to female authority.. it’s sort of whatever authority is present at the school. Idk if I would distinguish female author…

It’s his overall attitude that completely dismisses sex work isn’t JUST for low level women. Using phrases like “overwhelming majority.” That simply isn’t the case, especially in the last decade. Like it or not, sex work is glamorized now and supported by women who choose to do it. Pick the right club and you can make thousands of legal dollars in a few hours. Of course there is the street walking strung up stereotype, but it’s just pretty obvious his comments judge sex work to be only a negativ…

Depending on where you’re located, “most” still applies. And you’re making assumptions again. Big city all my life. Three degrees but still been in the industry long enough to know these aren’t just a bunch of damaged women with drug and mental issues. Just asking that you stop making a bunch of generalizations when you’ve only seen a sliver of actual sex work.

Waaay too many assumptions packed in here. You clearly haven’t came into contact with many sex workers. If you had, you would find out many are actually educated and do it by choice. For fun or just extra cash.

Would disagree- at least in my social circle only one other woman just started using reddit like last week. I’ve been with it for seven years. Interestingly I think we’re the only two women that play video games within our circle too.

You’re allowed to have a personal preference and say you don’t like drinking, but it’s not a good thing to judge people that drink. It doesn’t seem like you understand that although some people end up having issues with alcohol later on, most people can casually drink in social situations and enjoy it to where it’s not a problem. A few drinks makes you more social, more relaxed and more sexual. At the end of the day people have to do their own research and more importantly, take care of their me…

Have to disagree. I wouldn’t be engaged if I, as a female, didn’t approach first. It’s pretty simple. If I want something, I go and get it. No need for games.

Totally agree with this. I’ve had it happen to multiple close friends. It’s irritating when it’s happening but after about 8-12 months they’re free to hang out a lot more

I think it’s a difference between the subjective and objective. Subjectively, it’s nice to have attractive things on your IG feed, whether that’s girls, food, cars etc. Objectively, it’s hard to sympathize with girls who are so obsessed with “getting the perfect angle” At least that’s the way I see it.

Yes! If you are in the US, look up Electric Forest! There are so many different music genres there. Some of the best sets I’ve heard have been sets I accidentally walked into. I think there are 7 different stages going at once. And everyone is so amazing and friendly.

Oh definitely! I have been partying for almost 10 years now and have never hooked up with anyone from a show or festival or do drugs like that. It’s a completely mixed bag and we all try to avoid judging each other. Hope that helps.

I guess my point is that festivals can be used to meet genuine people. You don’t have to like every single artist at a music festival. It’s all about being open minded with both the music and the people and it will help you meet people and overall experience new things. The festivals I attend at least include 100s of artists; usually I don’t even know half of them. But the whole experience helps me meet great new people and try new things. They can be pricey but so much fun.

Do you like music festivals? I felt this way until I started going to festivals where everyone is so nice and open and trying to make friends. People wait for certain festivals all year (like electric forest) and everyone gets all dressed up and happy to be there and meet people. Obviously going to festivals right now is at a stop because of covid, but festivals, raves and concerts really changed my life as far as meeting friends.

I have to agree with just about everything you just said. ESPECIALLY THE LAST PART. OLD is a totally different dimension as oppose to developing relationships you already have with people you know (or used to know). Not going to go off on a long tangent, but I (27F) met my current partner in high school. We tried things back then but we were young and too awkward to work. He also went away to college. So while he was away (about 5 years) I was simply with the wrong (different) guy. It was a genu…

That’s a pretty cynical view to have. I guarantee you haven’t had experience with “most” people and can’t judge if they can change or not. Love is a mighty powerful thing and does make people change.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/20 05:15 AM

Yeah but experience with the RIGHT person will change someone in a heartbeat. You shouldn’t base someone’s experience with a partner based on past partners b/c those are different people and different types of relationships all together.

You’re making the assumption that’s it’s never used as a means to an end. Have you ever worked around sex work and actually got to know the women who do it, as oppose to just reading blogs and articles about it? I paid for law school with sex work. 100K. No crippling debt for 20 years. Worth it. The women I worked with were very attractive and many were in grad school as well or women who wanted the money to travel the world.

Naaa you’d be surprised. Sugar daddies are a lot of work. They usually require a lot of emotional labor and overall attention. I work in a somewhat upscale strip club with plenty of 10s. They’ve done sugaring and escort service and usually would prefer stripping or escorting b/c they don’t want to deal with the same daddy all the time. Even giving out your real number to customers is tolling. They are very needy and often not worth the “allowance.” It’s all pretty hard to fish out guys who are s…

“Men don’t pay for dates when they have no sexual interest in the woman, and women should not accept ‘free’ dinners from men they know they have no sexual interest in.” I don’t think this is true. Some guys (and women) are just lonely and will go on a date just for the company, not necessarily seeking out sex. Some people live alone and will go on casual dates to get out of the house. As long as you’re on the same page, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with spending time with someone under t…

I’m sure there are some women where this case applies to them, but this has been occurring before social media and OLD. If you’re hot, you get SO much male attention in person (and online). I’ve done a lot of modeling and bartending for over 5 years now and it’s true, we learn how to drown it out. Compliments? In one ear and out the other. I try not to be rude, but compliments to my appearance are not flattering. Compliments that I appreciate say things about my personality. I don’t think learni…

Ehhhh but that’s just another assumption that women never get over their ex’s. Not always true. My ex is actually a good friend of mine now and I’m engaged to someone else. We’re all just mature about the situation. My ex will even come over to our house because we’re friends and the past just really doesn’t matter anymore. We’ve both grown up and moved on and can’t even look at each other like that anymore. It’s not impossible

I think the problem is judging someone before you even know them and labeling all women with a certain body count as “such women” just b/c of a few experiences you’ve had. Definitely keep your self worth mate, but not all women with high body counts need a lot of emotional labor.

Completely agree. “High” and “low” are very relative to your social circle. I went to a large public high school (over 3500 students) and it was pretty average for girls to be in double digits by graduation.... let alone college graduation where our local universities are waaay bigger.

You don’t see a reason for them msging you but you were friends before? You can miss an old friend and not necessarily be intentionally trying to keep him as an option

Yeah I wouldn’t assume women wear makeup for men. I’m sure some do but definitely not all. I at least wear makeup b/c it’s fun and my girlfriends and I have fun getting ready to go out together. It also just makes ME feel put together. I’ll usually still wear makeup even if I’m just running around doing errands.

I am a woman too and I completely agree with this. She should AT LEAST be making the gesture to split dates or take a turn paying. I’ve read stories about the imbalance really escalating to say, expecting her SO to pay for a house or the entire vacation.

Agreed. A lot of girls in there (maybe even most) do not really want to be approached anyway unfortunately
