Good for you. The biased sample that people use to judge poly people is definitely frustrating but it can't be helped. I'm sure you understand very well that there's no reason to assign any value to the opinions of people who have never met you.

He's able to pull like that because of his race. Lmfao what? You're going to have to back that up. I have no idea how that could be self evident.

Sure i've heard the expression but i'm not really sure how it's supposed to work. Seems like a pretty weak rhetorical tool. How can you prove that a certain example is the exception? Even if you have five or ten counter-examples, they could all be from a faulty sample (preselection bias, confirmation bias, etc), or the sample could be too small.

Exactly. A vocal minority, just like politics and feminism and shit. The people with reasonable attitudes, healthy social lives, and a variety of interests in their life aren't passionate (read:crazy) enough to shout it from the rooftops.

Easier to use words over numbers. haha oh yes, numbers for attraction is a very flawed system but I don't know a better way. Anyways are you me? I'd give roughly the same description of me and my gf.

Have you considered that it's only nerds who want to make "being poly" a core part of their identity and post about it online? I believe there are a lot of people who are polyamorous, whether explicitly or incidentally, that don't feel the need to make themselves part of a "community" based on it and are therefore missing from your sample of poly couples. Edit: In fact because of the relatively socially unacceptable nature of it, any socially competent (and therefore generally more attractive) p…

I've seen very similar stuff from my own circles being quite adjacent to the yoga-hippie aesthetic. This is a different flavour of poly that will rarely if ever be seen online - I mean half of those people have realized that social media is toxic and spend as little time on the internet as possible. They also rarely make "being poly" a major element of their identity and post about it in online communities. It's just part and parcel of a (so called) enlightened worldview. The result is that the …

Same here. But most users will claim we're larping because it runs contrary to the circlejerk. Question: are you and your gf a looksmatch? If not, can you rate both yourself and her?

No way, what really matters to wamen is the colour of the dick and not so much its hardness.

You totally misread that. He's saying attractive men adopt the behaviours that women find attractive (which is tautological) and that many women today are into that, so they adopt that behaviour.

Responsible use means using at a rate that minimizes health impacts and doesn't negatively affect your lifestyle or your ability to achieve other goals. It's not an arbitrary rate of X times per year.

When did I say I was normal?? I started the comment by acknowledging I'm a freak. But it's by choice, not because I'm psycho or damaged. Also drug use is very common.

I think you will find very few women are "happy" to share a partner. He doesn't mean happy, he means they'll tolerate non-exclusivity for some time if the guy is hot enough. It won't be for years, eventually her friends will get her to snap out of it and start looking to settle. You're right about divorce. Men and women are both to blame for not working toward serious LTRs until it's nearly too late to have children and then the search for a marriage partner has an element of desperation.

I don't think I've ever met a person practicing poly for a long period of time who wasn't some crazy sex deviant freak neither. Guilty as charged. I am very happy with my relationship though, and not very fucked up in other ways. I use plenty of drugs but they've never caused a problem. No trauma, no mental health issues.

We deal with men because we’ve been brainwashed our whole lives into a subservient role You don't think this is a little outdated? I can't remember the last time I spoke to a woman in a relationship and got the impression, "wow, she's really subservient to him". I can't remember if I've ever gotten that impression. At least, not before "wow, he's a real asshole".

Men don’t add anything to our lives such that it’s necessary to have one. Lol sounds like you've never had a good relationship. Just like the RP guys who see women as holes. It's really sad.

Why is driving on the fucking sidewalk different from entering a consensual relationship? I'm sorry, I'm not going to bother explaining that.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/20 04:06 AM
2

Exactly. Directly endangering people or really doing anything to them against their will is illegal. Consensual partnerships don't fall under the same classification as driving on the sidewalk. To quote my man jules, ain't no ballpark neither. They're completely different.

Individuals are free to use or not use those things, just as each individual is free to be a part of a relationship or leave, whichever suits them. The law prohibits physical abuse, harassment, rape, etc. That's perfectly sufficient.

Younger. I'm in my mid 20s. I can recall 2 male and 2 female friends that have had relationships with someone over 30. Only one of those ended badly and it wasnt because of abuse.

Well I've yet to see any evidence that that's actually a significant trend. The relationships with age gaps that I've been able to observe up close in my own life have all seemed within the bounds of normal and healthy.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/20 02:30 AM

Ok, I agree... Adults of any age can be exploited by someone smarter and more sociopathic than them. But that just makes the original generalization even weaker. A 21 year old could "prey" upon a 31 year old just as easily.

He's not trolling and as a matter of fact I think he's right, his point is just kind of irrelevant. You have to consider the point in the absence of the pervasive judeo-christian moral culture that we as average western men can never possibly escape. If you didnt live in a monogamous culture, i think it is likely you would aspire to have many wives, as many as you could afford and as young and beautiful as you could get. Disagree if you like but hopefully I've contextualized this "harem" thing e…

The friendzone is a RP concept. What the fuck? Everyone and their mother has heard of "the friend zone", they joke about it on sitcoms and shit. And on the other hand no one without exposure to the manosphere has any clue what is meant by "frame" "beta bucks" "hamstering" "monk mode" etc. So you're just dead wrong man, friend zone is not an RP concept, not exclusively. It's in popular culture and the meaning is definitely subject to debate/interpretation.

Wahhhh you dont understand feminism Sooner or later you'll have to accept that feminism today is not represented by well-thought-out and edited thesises, it's represented by total morons on social media. There's no criticality. Thasixohfour is spot on in his/her description of how this issue would be portrayed in liberal media. Men are the regular subject of hatred; bigotry is rampant in the left wing. If you want to change this, you need to start calling out biased, uncritical opinions in your …

I'm more concerned about those who have none of those things, because that's how people become radicalized Why the fuck does no one care about this?? There will be more mass murders from disenfranchised young men in the years to come, but feminism will never allow for a serious conversation about why it's happening... they will just blame it all on utterly childish simplistic perceptions of men and pretend like patriarchy still has an influence on these men's lives...

Smh. There's more to life than pussy. Mature men understand that, smart men identify what they want and confident men go out and earn it, and their life is more meaningful as a result. I'm not blue pill, but the way you present "chad" as a zombie whose only purpose is to sleep with as many women as possible at the minimum expense to himself reflects really badly on your ideology. but now you want him to sleep alone No, actually, I dont want anything for this hypothetical character. He should liv…

That's different. Paying for porn is a regular old purchase. Showering a chick with free shit doesn't get you anything, and if anything weakens attraction.

Shitty people exist. I stand by NAWALT cause the relationships I've had were basically free of manipulation and very enjoyable for me. Just like FDS says about men who won't commit, women who play shitty games like this should just be Next'd instantly.

you'd have to be a bad human being to do that in my view. Hard agree. A fertility crisis would bring about its own weird problems tho... I just assume that timeline would have less net suffering than the one we're currently in, especially looking a couple decades into the future.

Because the drive to have sex is a powerful, constant impulse for men. That doesn't mean, as you clearly want to imply, that the drive to pair-bond and raise one's offspring doesn't exist in men. It's just not as strong or ever-present as impulsive lust.

Reality is pretty disappointing and people are bad at making connections these days. But contrary to AWALT and what else you're saying here... if you can get a woman really interested in you and enter into a relationship at the right time, she will become more of what you want her to be. I don't even think you need strong game, you just have to not be a total sycophant and maintain whatever perception she had of you that initially caused her to fall for you. I've had several relationships of mul…
