That's my only real qualm about what he's saying. He lumps reading news in with movies/TV as "time wasters". I couldn't disagree more. There's a middle ground between spending 30 minutes a day on these things and wasting away on the couch all weekend. I'd argue staying current on TV/movie trends is important in this culture, and staying current on the news is even more important.

On the other hand, I've had a girl that rarely responded to texting, and then was constantly texting when I saw her in person. If she's this type, OP, do yourself a favor and lose her number. Plenty more out there.

Also could have gone with some more non-threatening escalation. Playfully hitting girls with pillows is so much fun, especially if she doesn't have a pillow and keeps trying to steal it from you. From there you can squeeze her leg to make her jump, etc. It's fun, playful, silly, non-threatening, but can quickly and easily escalate.
