👏👏👏 this subreddit is a dumpster fire. You got the right attitude. Go for it and good luck! Also, bring over 40 and dating a while, as a guy be into sports. Not as in watching them, but actually participate in them. They’re a great way to be fit, feel good, find other healthy like-minded people. Good bonding time for the same sex and good way to meet people of the opposite sex that have the same interests. I never came back from training and said, damn, wish I didn’t go. And I’ve met awesome peo…

😂😂😂 this sub never disappoints. Invite her over for dinner and then 10 minutes in kick her out of your house. You will have displayed dominance and she will go on and find a better man and Tell him and her friends the story about a tool she once dated.

Yeah. I quit. Dating blows nowadays. Bunch of flakes and people who want casual, or had kids young and don’t want a family anymore.

And you’re a professional gambler. And a body broker. And sold weapons to our military.

Thank you for this. I’ve beat myself up for years for leaving relationships with men that didn’t treat me well but had great careers (I helped them build). I never knew of any cheating, but the negging and verbal abuse was real and I think it’s irreparably harmed my trusting nature and self-esteem. My mom and gma even cut me off for six months after I divorced my verbally abusive ex. They thought I shouldn’t walk away from a “good” (successful) man. For background, they are both divorced from sh…

Morocco was a country where I found men to be pretty aggressive, especially in more traditional towns like Fez. Not as much in Casablanca and Marrakesh. Guys wouldn't even look our way if we were with our guy friends, but since we dressed modestly but didn't have head covering, they felt free to cat call, follow, and grab us by the arm to talk to us if we were walking around without the guys.

Thank you. Also, the daily, how do I not put in any effort and sleep with tons of women posts daily from obvious teens are so annoying to scroll through.

Yes 👌 I had issues with a guy 6 months in. Ended up marrying him. Had even bigger issues after that. Divorced him. Met a guy I loved too much. Did everything for him including getting him a great job. 8 months in he was hesitant to get serious. 5 years later I had to break up with him because he didn’t want to move the relationship forward. He still says he has no idea why it ended. 🚩🚩🚩 I saw the flags and kept driving. Big mistake and more importantly waste of time.

Ughh I tried. The matches were awful. Like the worst ones on Bumble and Hinge were all they had 😔 I don’t think OLD is for me in general. I’m boring online but fun IRL. I don’t check it often and lose interest in small talk w strangers fast. I like more activities and sports where there’s a common goal. Buttt, people are usually in relationships already. So back to square 1

Just want to applaud you for getting out there and approaching someone you like IRL. All of us are here because our parents developed real social skills. I think OLD has ruined that for many younger people. Good luck 🍀

Yeah, you can do it through the app or your cell phone. The two times I’ve agreed to meet someone without video verifying they’ve flaked as in no contact or response day of. That’s after good banter online and via text. Probably catfish or just duds. I won’t keep time free anymore without video verifying.

Maybe people have a lot of free time. I wouldn’t meet someone around the corner unless I’ve had some kind of positive interaction with them besides messaging. I don’t care how close or convenient. I don’t waste my time. I can tell in about 10 seconds on FaceTime if I like someone or not and go forward or move on.

I’m a girl. And yes to all this 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 It’s not you. Dating really sucks nowadays. People got a lot more choices and just became the worst version of themselves. Wish there was an app for mature people who don’t want to waste time and go through people in volume. Good luck 🍀

You’re probably not as much of a catch as you portray yourself. If you were, you would have at least some success with naive/loose ladies. Maybe your aversion to intimacy is the lack of ability to measure up and/or inadequate social skills. Either way, women can tell from far away and avoid.

Sports. I do martial arts, but something like volleyball or a hiking or biking group is more evenly male and female. Just go into it wanting to have fun. Don’t get caught up on the “in bulk.” IMO it doesn’t help you grow positively as a person. I don’t know many guys who dated “in bulk” who are happy middle-aged men. Better off trying to be selective with who you spend your time with. But do you 👍

I was going to cheer you on...until you started referring to women as mares and keeping a stable. That's some low-class pimp talk. Ughh the more I'm on this board the more I never want to date again.

Get on Feeld. The feel I get from guys on dating apps just looking to hook up is def creep. Sorry, no offense to you. It's just that there are sites for that.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
